Everyone had been out searching for Sophia all day and some had been searching from the day before.

Rick slammed a roll of knives (and other assorted weapons) down on the hood of the car. "Everybody takes a weapon."

"These aren't the kind of weapons we need." Andrea looked at the knives in mild disgust. "What about the guns?"

"We've been over that." Shane said from where he was leaning against the RV, already annoyed. "Daryl, Rick, Merle and I are carrying. Can't have people popping off rounds every time a tree rustles."

Glenn and Lori had already grabbed something from the stash. Daryl was looking at Merle who, for once, was quiet.

"It's not the trees I'm worried about." Andrea snarked and Merle turned back toward the group.

"But you fire a shot Sugar Tits and every Walker in the area comes to you...That you should be worried about."

"I hate to say this but Merle is right." Shane stood from his position and walked over to the knives. "Say someone fires at the wrong moment and there's a herd nearby. That's game over for all of us. So you need to get over it." Shane shouldered his bag and gave Andrea a death stare.

"The idea is to take the creek up about five miles, turn around, then come back down the other side." Daryl said while loading his crossbow.

Merle grabbed the knife out of Glenn's hand with a deadpan look and gave him a smaller machete. "Don't play with it like that, you'll only be a danger to everyone around you."

"Chances are she'll be by the creek. It's her only landmark." Daryl walked away to speak with Merle as Rick spoke up again.

"Stay quiet, stay sharp. Keep space between you, but always stay within sight of each other." Everyone nodded with Rick's instructions as Shane took over from there.

"Everybody assemble your packs."
——————-
The group crept quietly into the forest, Daryl and Merle at the head. Both were used to each other and could give warnings without noise.

The group came upon a tent in the middle of the woods and silently motioned everyone down.

Going to look. Stay here. Merle signed to his brother quickly and everyone was shocked when Daryl responded.

okay. Stay safe. Merle snorted but crept quietly foreword.

"Could she be in there?" Rick whispered to Daryl.
