A gun shot had been heard earlier today and I was slightly worried. NO ONE used guns unless something was wrong or they were surrounded. I grabbed a loaded medic kit and kept it with me while I was checking the fences. Sofia had opted to stay back at the bunker, Ma'at, Seti and Kuk as her guards. A blue truck was pulling up the hidden path way and I pointed my gun right at the drivers side.

"That's far enough. What do you want?" I yelled and Otis's head popped out of the passenger side. "Otis!"

"Hey Dia! We've got a GSW back at the house and Hershel had us come get you." I jumped over the side of the wall and ran up the truck.

"Well get going then!" The man driving gave me a look but took off back down the driveway, me holding onto the open back window so I wouldn't go flying out of the truck bed.

The trip took about an hour and was quiet for the most part. The driver, Shane, had tried to start a conversation with me but Otis just shushed him.

The truck hadn't even slowed down and I was already up on the porch, a relieved Hershel leading me to the patient.

He was a boy around 12 that looked awfully familiar, but I brushed that aside and pulled everything out of my bag. Hershel grabbed the portable heart monitor and ventilator, quickly putting them together and cleaning them out.

"Tell me what you need." Hershel ordered and I nodded, suctioning the blood off the kids stomach.

"He needs an ET tube. Do you remember how to insert it?" I asked pulling it out of my bag and he nodded, taking the tube out of the sterile packaging. I flipped the kid's arm and switched the IV bag out. "Any allergies that I should know of? And what is the kid's blood type?"

"He's A+ and I will go ask his mother if he has any allergies." Otis took the dirty towels with him as he left and I grabbed three different pain killers.

Hershel quickly inserted the ET tube with no pain on the kids end by the time that Otis came back.

"No allergies to medication. His father is also A+ if we need a blood donor, not that I would suggest it."

"Has he already given blood?" I asked sharply and both men nodded. "How many times?"

"Twice." Otis scratched the back of his neck and I growled.

"Get him something high in Iron and some juice. I'm O- so I can give him blood as well. Any others injured?" My surgery tools were pulled out and Otis backed out. EMT he may have been but he hated surgery.
