The emotioms clearly written on their face
As they jump and play
Whatever happened to that girl?
The nice and pretty one.
The once that was a healthy weight
The social girl that people loved
So much potential, gone.
That's what my grandmother said to me.
Well, I grew up
Its really as simple as that
I had problems and a hard time
For a while, not that you would know.
Im a teenage girl, what did you expect?
Did you want me to smile all the time?
Wear makeup and whiten my teeth?
Did you want me to be that steriotypical girl?
The one that everyone loves and admires?
Well thats not going to happen
And it never was.
I started to get opinionated
Of course you wouldnt like that.
So next time you ask me
Whatever happened to that girl.
I'll put on a smile, fake a laugh and say
She grew up.
