The beauty of the earth
Every green and grey.
The darkness of the night
And the light of day.
It's dying.
Slowly fading into oblivion
Where only darkness can be seen.
Not the darkness of the night
Or the one you see,
When your eyes are closed.
It's a never ending black
Not a speck of light.
It consumes you and takes you in
Feeding off the light you own.
Claiming it as it's own.
When the light of the earth is gone,
There is no saving it,
No getting it back.
It's gone into that place
Where darkness reigns.
The earth will never again see,
The brightest of green
Or the dullest of grey.
Only the ever consuming black
All of its nothingness.
Then earth will finally be,
Gone, dark, dead.
Nothing.
