Ammu is Back ! [COMPLETED]

Halana halana..Kunthala

Ammu and family arrive at Kunthala. It has been reconstructed the same way as it used to be before. The royal family pay homage to the deceased Kunthala warriors. A huge statue of Nayakar(Devasena's bro) and Kumara Varman are erected in the palace grounds in their honour. Preparations are on in full swing for the engagement which is to happen the following day.

Mahendra-Avanthika engagement:

After offering prayers to God, Mahendra and Avanthika are made to sit opposite each other while the priest reads aloud the 'lagna patrika' (a document that conveys the acceptance of both families, the date, time and venue of the wedding.) Ammu is seated beside his son while Devu is next to Avanthika. Ammu stealthily picks single jasmine buds from the platter infront of him and when no one is looking throws it at Devasena.Devu chuckles at his acts. Mahe sees this and grabs his dad's hand before he picks another flower.

A: Leave my hand Mahe !

M: Nanna, can't you keep your hands and legs to yourself ? Always doing some mischief. Sit quietly.

A: Ok ok last flower after that I will stop.

Mahe leaves his hand. After sometime,

Priest: Pls pass me the jasmine flowers.

Si: Baahu, the platter is in front of you. Pls pass it.

But the platter is empty with not even a single flower. Ammu takes the platter and turning it over shows his mother.

A: (Keeping an innocent face) Amma, I think they forgot to fill the plate with flowers. It is empty.

Si: It's ok. I'll get some more.

Priest: But...but how did all the flowers end up on Maharani Devasena's lap ?? Hmm..strange.

Mahendra stares at his father who maintains a puppy face.

M: Pls nanna, I beg you !! Don't ruin my engagement this is the first ever good event happening in my life. Behave!

A: What did I do ra? I am just sitting quietly. See, priest is calling you. Concentrate on the rituals.

Ammu steals glances at Devuu and when she looks at him he feels shy and hides his face behind Mahe.

M: Oye nanna, what are you doing now ?? Hiding your face behind my back??

A: Mmm... your amma is looking at me I am feeling shy...

M: Nanna, engagement is for me not you.

A: Huh..uh...so what ra? Is there any rules that I shouldn't blush on your engagement?? I feel shy around girls  especially when it is my bangaram...

M: Ooohh nanna pls sit properly all are looking at you weirdly.

Devuu notices her Ammu restless and wiggling in his seat. She eyes him asking what is wrong and he shakes his head implying nothing. Mahendra adorns Avanthika with a garland and vice versa. When this happens, Devuu shyly looks up to Ammu who is already staring at her intensely. Both recall their past.

After the pindari fight, Ammu promises Devuu in the presence of her family and Kattappa.
