Poem Three: Trip To Nowhere

For as long as I remember
I've always been told
I'm never going to make it
It's just another useless goal

I didn't choose this life
I was just handed the ticket
Leading to nowhere I'm told
Now I'm just stuck with it

People get on and off
I've seen many a face
Yet no one seems to stay
Just move on at a different place

I look to my side
The final goal is near
I just sit and smile
Knowing I have nothing to fear

I see them laugh at me
To look at their phrase come true
Still I look to the side
Trying just to see it through

I put on my headphones
Remember what I'm told
Just slip quickly away
As I reach the praised goal
