Poem 10: Not So Fun Fair

Traveling down the darken ally
Rain coming down a single drop
Thinking about the better days
Looking around for a new stop

Turn around the next corner
Our journey is finally done
Blinded by the noise and lights
This fair is far from fun

Smiling children surrounded us
Running from the fact they're free
I stand taking it all in
Moving as fast as a Oak tree

Finally a wind blows us over
Paying a small hefty fare
Bars lock us into a steel cage
Surrounded by those who don't care

Faces become a sudden blur
People getting close then go
My mind is suddenly becoming sick
Caused by the machine that's made to throw

Released back onto the ground
I feel no personal gain
We sit down for just a quick minute
I feel the newly discovered pain

We grab each others hand
Eyes blocking the children's screams
I start thinking that I love you
Though this is only just my dream
