"Gavin! JoJo! Stop fighting!" I turned in the passenger seat of Colton's car to yell at Gavin and JoJo. They immediately froze and stared at me. JoJo had his doggy grin on and panted from all his wiggling and then turned to Gavin. But instead of smiling, Gavin was glaring at the dog and even curled his lip to growl. At that, JoJo'ears perked up and his head jerked to cock his head at Gavin.

"Your stupid mutt is taking up all the room back here!" Javin squirmed himself, pressed against the door and JoJo.

"He is taking up quite a bit of room Ava." I rolled my eyes and scratched JoJo's head affectionately.

"You guys can suck it up for at least the drive there. I'll ride in the back on the way home." That seemed to placate them and I faced the front once again. Colton turned to flash me an uneasy smile. Then he mumbled quietly, staring ahead at the road.

                 "Are they always like this?"

"We can hear you! We're wolves for crying out loud!" Colton gave them a strained, polite smile as we pulled up to a large office building. It took 45 minutes to get here and I'm not sure how Kristy made the commute regularly. Men and women in suits continuously flowed in and out of the tall building. Javin's awe stricken voice mumbled as we began to exit the car.

"This is where your wife works?"

"Worked, humans are here so they believe she retired. Our story is, I'm her grandson that has come to collect the things they took from her office. You guys are simply friends to come help. Everyone understand? " Javin and I nodded while Gavin just glared.

"Are you on a constant power trip?" This seemed to try Colton's patience because he rubbed his temple and and sighed in annoyance. He glanced at me for help but I shrugged sympathetically. Colton paused and replied curtly.

"You are a pup that has an authority problem. I was given power long ago and I do not intend to be challenged by you." Gavin scoffed before turning to building and speaking innocently.

"Let's do this thing, shall we?" Offering me his arm, Gavin tucked it against him and began towarss the building. When I turned I smirked to see Javin watching his twin strangely and Colton glaring with a flare of temper. Soon enough, they followed also and Gavin approached a man desk with a couple secretaries and a security guard. The security guard was a skinny man with curly red hair and young green eyes. The two secretaries clicked away on their computers,  identical except in their hair and eye color. The one on the left had straight jet black hair with dull hazel eyes and the one on the right had brown hair and blue-green eyes, both were curvy women. The one to notice us first was the security guard and he smiled, friendliness oozing from his southern accent.

"Can I help you folks?" I smiled politely but Colton spoke up, voice cold and demanding.

"I need to speak with Jared Montrose please. It's rather important." The black haired Secretary's eyes whipped up and darkened upon the sight of Colton. She was obviously attracted to the power type. Mentally I rolled my eyes as she helped us, her voice breathy.

"I can call Mr. Montrose for you Mr.-"

"Colton Mordant, he'll know my name." Again the woman's lustful eyes twinkled as she lifted the office phone to her ear, dialing a few buttons then smiling at Colton. He ignored her though, he turned to where I stood with Gavin and gave me a small, hopeful smile. The woman exchanged a few words on the other line briefly before hanging up and grinning at Colton.
