Over Already?

It's already evening and I just finished changing to my nightwear. I am actually looking for some pjs but unfortunately, the person who packed my luggage has only putted lingeries and thongs. Now, how am I supposed to wear them? Unless, I have a plan on seducing my husband to bed but I do not have.

So I ended up wearing a loose shirt and cotton shorts.

Phoenix and Mike already left Hawaii officially this time because they have been called at work so it's down to me and Caius. We are the only ones left and I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not. Because ever since what happened at the beach, I can't look straight directly at Caius.

I've became nervous once our eyes locked.

I know I shouldn't have been thinking like this but there is something inside me that I can't explain when I'm with him.

The emotion is strong and I can't put a name on it. So I'm very confused right now. If I could just hit my head against the wall, I would have. I'm really confused.

I am pacing back and forth inside the bedroom while rubbing my hands together.

Then I jump in surprise when there was a knock on the door.

It opens before I could say anything and Caius pops his head out. "Good. You're finished."

"Why?" I asked, defensively.

Caius frowned at my tone. "I'm using the bathroom."

"Oh, okay." I let out some sigh and relaxed myself to calm my racing heartbeat. "I will just be at the porch." I said then storm out of the bedroom to let him be.

I sat down at the porch and take sets of deep breath. I need to calm down and wake up. I'm just overreacting, for sure. There is nothing wrong now because Caius and I are just married in papers. Get that into your thick skull, Shanaya. He is just messing with you. Because he will never, ever fell in love with me. That's the truth.

After a few minutes of silence, I guess I am already fine. But suddenly through the silent surrounding, Caius' phone starts ringing.

I stand up to go for it but the name registered on the screen is an unknown caller.

"Hey, Caius! Someone is calling."

Caius came put rushing, only in his towel then answered it. "Hello?" He paused then steps back inside the bedroom, locking it. Okay, he doesn't want me to hear their conversation so be it.

I sat down in the living room patiently waiting for Caius to be done because I badly want to sleep on the bed already.

But it took him like ten minutes before he comes out. But his face is different and the old him comes back. "We are leaving tomorrow morning."

"What?" I stand up and looks at him, dumbfounded.

"You heard me."

"But...we just got here and —"

"No more buts. Just pack your things, we leave first thing in the morning. Get rest." He told me, coldly before walking passed me and heading outside to the porch. I watch his back as he lights his cigarette and started smoking.

Something is bothering, that's for sure.

Who could be that caller? I gulped and just head inside the bedroom. The only reason that I had in mind is maybe it's from work that's why we need to go home urgently. As always, the problem is because Caius hates to speak more about it. He just says what is going to do but he won't say what's the reason.
