The pair was often together and Dumbledore had an ever-present twinkle, especially the first time the creature barged into the great hall to wisk Severus away from him. Harry protests that he was just hungry that's why he came up however he did miss the castle, now he had no problem and often did so barging into the castle and following his man around gently lipping him.

The first time Harry saw Severus reapply his glamor he stomped his hooves and spent the next hour undoing the glamor with his horn as the stubborn man kept reapplying it. "No hades I need to keep it school starts soon" The equine seemed to think. 'Do I want those perverts to see my severus...no no I do not' With a conflicted look he left the glamor in place. He still followed the potions master however the man had explained that it wouldn't be good for him to keep coming up here when the students get back. Harry sighed but decided to comply.

The sorting was going smooth no first year had thrown up which is always a bonus in Severus's opinion. They had just started eating when the door burst open and a black unicorn came tumbling in and frantically made towards the head table where he was intercepted by Severus snape. The moment the man touched the soft fur the creature sagged to the floor breathing heavy and shaking in fear, everyone was silent as the frightening potions professor calmed the beast and soon dumble door spoke up. "I wonder what could have made that rather nasty gash" Everyone's eyes were drawn to three cuts on the flank of the unicorn trickles of silver blood oozed from the three cuts. Hagrid offered his clean hanker chief which was promptly used to try to stop the flow of blood. The headmaster was missing his smile and his almost ever-present twinkle. Severus was almost beside himself but the Equine was mostly just in shock and clung close to him. "Prefects take your housemates to your common rooms dinner will be held there for now"
