harry by far spent more time as an equine than Severus, but sometimes they would both go outside and go out do things, it was nice to get out and bond with the potions master as he went to collect ingredients, the man still insisted that he keep doing potions and had even made the bottom floor into a basement so they had to go up a set of stairs to get to the front door, harry had been turned into his packhorse since the man couldn't risk turning back so as he gently pulled plants from the ground or just outright picked up seeds he deposited them into a transfigured pack he had secured to harry instead of trying to reach around on himself.

the teen would huff but let the man do as he pleased anything to get a good scratch and mayby a human kiss on his big furry forehead, the man was always much more indulgent after he had collected his icky ingredients, harry had nearly fainted when the man has dropped a huge wiggly slug in one of the pouches.

on the way back from this particular outing as he opened the portal there was a silver flash then another and as they looked there was a massive mob of unicorns invading their home, every unicorn from the forest braved the woods and ran to invade their pocket dimension, bailing on the semi-safe haven of the Hogwarts grounds full of children.

once inside they turned back harry with the gear in his arms.

"you have got to be kidding me!"

Severus complained but the unicorns were not fazed and focused on grazing.

"no this is not going to happen you nags get out!"

harry grabbed the man's arm.

"oh come on Severus I think there are another one of those things still out there, they are afraid"

harry saw him open his mouth about to spew acid when he chimed in first.

"I mean think of all the hair that will be laying about, mine inst as good because I'm not a real unicorn"

the man looked harry in the eye before nodding once and walking inside.

Harry smiled and waved to the pretty white unicorns as he followed the man, so much for scratches....

what he got when he handed over the satchel was a fond head pat, harry was sold, this was another thing he loved, now how would he convince the man to sleep with him....
