The man gently held the soft head as the colt fell to its knees and laid panting a little nicker leaving its vocal cords.
"Woah easy, are you injured?"
He gently ran a hand over the soft body and down strong legs looking for wounds.
Apart from him being a bit skinny and sweaty, he appeared to be fine.
The potions master set the head on his lap and conjured some water from his wand to see if he would drink.
The colt drank heavily and allowed himself to relax against the young man he stumbled across.
After a while Severus looked up at the sky it would be getting dark soon and the colt would die if left alone.
"Alright....alright, please don't panic"
He took a shaky breath and cast the levitation charm the magic beast flinched but didn't flail.
The way back was slow to avoid bumping him too much.
Hagrid's hut was vacant while he visited France but Severus knew he wouldn't mind Severus borrowing it especially if it was for a unicorn.
The creature was gently deposited on the huge bed as the potions masterwork found some food that he could eat.
Green eyes watched him tiredly as the long-haired man rummaged amongst the oversized things.
"Ah here we go"
He pulled out a large sack full of hay and offered it to the Equine.
As the unicorn munched he closed the door and headed back inside the castle for the night glad that the beast was safe.
