I was shocked at the question at first. But when I regained my composure I answered his question.

"I believe not yet until a while back sir." I said

His brows furrowed. My eyes widened with confusion and fear. Oh no! What if he doesn't like me? What if he won't accept my daughter as a patient.

"Oh. Don't worry I asked that to all my patients. Just sort of an ice breaker." He explained. He sounded monotone. And I find it Weird.

"Anyway, I've read your daughter's records I need you to process everything within 2 weeks so that I can schedule the operation. We need to do it as soon as possible." He explained while looking at me in the eye. I nodded.

"Ok you may go."

"Ok sir. Thank you." I said with a smile as I left his clinic.

It's been a week since I applied for the Social Sercive of Xavier's Medical Center. I submitted all the documents and requiremens needed. And later at 1pm will be the orientation and after that they'll give us my baby's Social Service I.D with its privileges.

It's now 10 am in the morning. I was preparing everything for the 3-hour orientation later. My baby will be so tired later. I looked at my cellphone and there's a text message.

This is Doctor Sasuke Uchiha . Text me if you already got Lhexine's SS I.D.

Wow. I can tell that Doctors in Xavier really put some extra time and effort for their patients. He knows my baby's name too. I replied while smiling like an idiot.

Got it Doc. Thank you. :)

We are now at the hall of the hospital where the orientation will be held. They are explaining things. Rules and regulations and everything. They said it will just take 30 minutes of explaining then they will release the I.D of those who attended the orientation.

After they explained everything we all lined up to get the I.Ds. I was signing the papers that I received my I.D. When the girl beside me talked.

"What type is your I.D you look rich. I wonder why you're here." She said.

I looked at my daughter's I.D. It's Type D. Wow this is 70 percent discount of hospital bills.

"Type D." I said as I exited the hall before the girl can say something. I wonder why my baby was classified as Type D? In the orientation they said Type D will be the people who really cannot pay the bills. Those who have don't work or anything to earn money. Well, I have business it maybe not big but it can provide for us at least. Well maybe it's Doctor Lopez.

I sat in the waiting area. Lhexine is now awake. I got my cellphone then texted Doctor Uchiha.

Hello Doc. I already got the i.d.

After a while, he replied.

Good. Come to my office now.

I put my cellphone in my bag and carried Lhexine. His office is on the first floor. So, I took te stairs. The elevator is pretty crowded. When I reached the Eye Institute the girl who assisted me last time opened the door.

"Hello ma'am. Doctor Uchiha is expecting you. This way please " she said as she lead the way. After a couple of steps she spoke again.

"Do you know Doctor Uchiha ma'am? He seems kind and very accommodating on you.Usually he lets Doctor Karin to do everything except for the check up" She questioned.

"Not personally ma'am. Maybe it's Doctor Lopez. His past Advisor. I know him personally." I replied kindly.

When we reached his office, he signaled me to sit down. Lhexine sat down on my lap.

"Ok Miss Haruno. How are you?" He said.

"Oh. You mean Lhexine doc? She's fine doc well except for the eye irritation." I replied.

He stared at me in reply and motioned me to get Lhexine near him for check up. And I did. He got his device for check up and instructed me to hold Lhexine's head for him to check well. But Lhexine is very uncooperative. I was holding his head on the top when Doctor Uchiha helped me steadied my baby's head. Oh my. Our hands are touching. I shook the idea out of my head. It's normal for him right? He's a doctor for G's sake. He's maybe used to holding everyone.

"Ok. I'll schedule now the operation. It is alright with you? 1 week from now. " He said.

I gulped. I was nervous. But I needed to ask this.

"Doc will she be okay after the operation?" I asked. Staring right through his eyes.

"Yes but I cannot assure you that this will be the only operation." He replied not breaking the eye contact.

"What do you mean doc? There's a chance that there will be another operation aside from what you'll schedule?" I asked nervously. Tears are beginning to build up in my eyes.
Poor Lhexine she's so young to go through all this.

"Yes. Because in the first operation we will clean and remove the vitreous fluid in her right eye and there are possibilities that the retina can be detached or other complications such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular holes etc. After the first operation." He said. This time my tears fell. I tried to calm down because it's really embarrassing to cry in front of my baby's Doctor.

He gave me a look of pity and offered a box of facial tissue. I took it and wiped my face. I thanked him. I breathed until I managed to speak.

"Doc. What is the cause of this disease? I mean, the already did lots of examinations on her but they didn't give me yet a distinct answer. It is my fault? Or worse is it life threatening?" I asked while tears are still falling.

He sighed.

"As of now miss Haruno I also cannot give you the answer you are looking for because there are many underlying possible cause of this disease. But I assure you it is not life threatening. To give you a peace of mind I'll let them examine the vitreous fluid that we removed after the operation. It's not life threatening but it can threat the vission of your daughter if we will not do the operation as soon as possible." He explained. This time his tone is not cold or monotone. It has a hinge of kindness. It's like a voice that sympathizes.

I wiped all the tears in my face then kissed my baby's forehead and I nodded.

"I understand doc. You can set the operation ASAP and I'll do all the planning and necessary things." I managed to utter.

He nodded.

"Ok. That's all." He said.

I thanked him and carried Lhexine.

I can do this. We can do this baby. Then I left his clinic.
