Thank You Doctor

The Operation

My bestfriend came with food for dinner and fruits. I waited for Lhexine to wake up for us to eat together. I decided to take shower first. My bestfriend is really reliable. He practically brought everything that I forgot. So, while he looks for my daughter I took a worthy bath.

After taking a bath I fixed everything. Then I went out of the bathroom. I found out that the Hokage is really serious. He is now talking to Daniel while carrying Lhexine. My baby is playing with his locks. When they saw me, he immediately spoke.

"Yo Sakura-chan." He said smiling.

I looked at Daniel and he is as clueless as I am.

"Hokage-sama to what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?" I asked returning the smile.

"Sakura-chan I told you to call me Naruto. I just wanna visit my friend and her daughter. She's so adorable. " He said while ruffling Lhexine's hair.

"Thank you Naruto sama." I said then smiled at him. My best friend has the look on his face saying we need to talk later. I just smiled at him sheepishly.

The Hokage played with Lhexine few more minutes then he bid my baby good bye saying he'll be back tomorrow. I accompanied him heading outside in respect. And when we were walking in the hallway people are looking at us. And I know those looks are because of the Hokage walking beside me.

"Sakura-chan I am so sorry for intruding like this. I just miss our Sakura so badly." He said.

"Oh.. it's okay Naruto sama. I understand." I said smiling at him. And when we were close at the hospital's entrance we bumped into doctor Uchiha.

"Oi Sasuke teme." Naruto Said. Doctor Uchiha looked at me.

"Lhexine's operation is tomorrow 8am. Be sure to comply with the fasting." He said.

"Hai Doctor. Thank you. And don't worry I will." I said nodding. He nodded back. Then I thanked the Hokage and bid my good bye.

When I went back to the room Daniel's brows were furrowed.

"What? He said he just misses his old team mate." I said. As he rolls his eyes. Sometimes I wonder if my best friend is gay. Don't get me wrong. Girls drool over him. He is practically a god of looks. He is tall, a perfect skin, a gorgeous black orbs with thick lashes and perfectly shaped brows, a very defined nose and a perfect set of lips. He has also a defined body. Not too much muscles but just enough to make women drool ever his body. But sometimes he just acts like a gay. He is a neat freak than most of girls. He is a very OC person. And the way he rolls those eyes is just so like a girl.

"Anyway Sakura, let's eat now so that you can rest early." He said. And with that we ate the food he brought. It's a good thing Lhexine is eating well. It will be her last meal starting 12 midnight he can't eat anymore. But later 10pm they will put dextrose on her.

After our meal, Daniel insisted on cleaning up every as usual. So I just let him be. I played with my baby for a while and later before 8pm I'll let her sleep. I'm sure she will whimper at 10pm.

The nurses and pediatrician came nd asked lot of things. I hate to say but I hate that pedia who thinks she's so highly intelligent nd know it all. How dare she question on how did I had a child at an early age. I knew she was hitting on Daniel and my best friend nearly killed that doctor on bad mouthing me.

Daniel may seem cool on the outside but he is overprotective when it comes to me and Lhexine. Maybe because we are his only family right now. So when that flirty doctor winked at him he rolled his eyes again. And I nearly laughed my heart out.

It's nearly 8pm and good thing those flirty bitches were out of sight. I mean, they even had the balls to ask if Daniel is the father of Lhexine. For what?

So, I put Lhexine to be and waited for her to sleep. When she's already asleep, I told Daniel that we can sleep to. He can take the other bed for patient's guardian and I can sleep beside my baby. So we did. Anyway we need energy for tomorrow.

We had a nap for 2 hours and the nurse came to put IV on my daughter. After that my daughter had milk and I set my alarm on 2:30am for her to have his Last bottle of milk before her operation.

The night went so smooth until 4:50am I let my baby drink water for after 5am she is not allowed to take any fluid and solid anymore. She continued sleeping as I decided to eat breakfast with Daniel so that we can prepare ourselves on time before 8am.

We ate then freshen up. At 7:30 am the nurses fetched us and guided us to the operating room. When we were there only 1 guardian is allowed to go inside so Daniel had to stay in the waiting room. The nurses gave me proper attire to enter inside.

When I am inside, doctor Uchiha talked to me. He explained how long the process will be and what are they gonna do.  I am allowed to wait in the recovery room. So when I had to bring my baby in the operating room I can feel my body shaking. As they instructed me to hold her for them to inject the sedating fluid I began to feel numb. I felt Doctor Uchiha hold my arm.

"Give me Lhexine. You can head outside and wait before you collapse of nervousness." He said. I shook my head.

"No, I am okay doc. Just do it and I'll be the one to lay her down the operating bed." I said. He nodded as the anesthesiologist injected the fluid. I can feel my baby slowly losing consciousness. When she's asleep, I gently put her down the bed and kissed her forehead.

"Don't worry. She will be fine." Doctor Uchiha said.

I nodded and headed outside.

I sat down in the recovery room.
And began reading random things on my cellphone to ease my nervousness.

5 hours operation.
This will be the longest 5 hours of my life.
