Thank You Doctor

Ino Yamanaka

Sakura was shocked for a moment. The feeling she got when he uttered her name was different. It is unexplainable. There was a long pause in the air. Green calculating eyes meet black sorrowful ones.  "Yes Doctor?", Sakura managed to utter. The shift from sorrow to disappointment was evident in his eyes. "I asked you about Lhexine's family history. Have you asked his father?", he asked expectingly. Sakura explained about her circumstances. She can't contact Lhex's father anymore and her parents are away from their village right now. Her parents left her a message saying that they can't be contacted for 2 years. They volunteered somewhere in a place where there is no signal. They are just ordinary civilians so they just use phones for communication.They did not explain everything and just told her not to worry. Dr. Uchiha did not look satisfied with her answers but dismissed her anyway.

Sakura and Lhexine went home. The hour interval of the medications are at least longer now. She was told that if everything goes well for another week, the medications will be completely gone. But the hardships does not stop there. Sakura's daughter will undergo another operation again after 4 months for the removal of the silicone oil. Doctor Uchiha also explained after operating Lhexine that after the first and second operation complications may follow like glaucoma or cataract. But that will be observed after her second operation.

A week has passed smoothly. Lhexine was cooperative enough with her medications and post op care. Sakura had an extra time to enroll few subjects in Konoha University. It felt so surreal for her. It may be just few subjects for her to still manage her time with her business and daughter but at least she is starting to live her dream. 

"Her are eyes are good. Her retina is intact. She recovered well. ", Doctor Uchiha said after examining Lhexine's eyes. Sakura is beyond happy to hear this. "Does that mean she will be free on medications Doctor?", Sakura asked gleefully. Doctor Uchiha nodded. He then explained that she needs to be checked after 2 weeks again  and if something unusual happens to her eyes they need to go to him immediately. He also emphasized that rubbing the eye is a big no. He also said that she can already remove the eye patch but they still need to be careful. Sakura understood very well.

They were walking home when Sakura saw a very beautiful lady. Her hair is long blond and her eyes are clear blue. Wow. She is so gorgeous. Sakura thought. The Lady saw her staring and she looked so shocked. Sakura felt sorry for staring. While carrying Lhexine they went near the lady and she apologized for staring and explained that she just looks so gorgeous that is why she stared. It took a moment before the lady replied. "Sakura?", that was all she managed to utter. "Do you know me ma'am?", Sakura asked. Now the lady looked more than shocked. "Yes. I am Ino Yamanaka your bestfriend. Is this real? What kind of Jutsu is this? Why do you sound like a different person? Whose baby are you carrying? And why the hell is your hair black?", The lady said so fast and almost screaming. Woah. She might be the Sannin's bestfriend. Sakura thought. "I am sorry Miss Yamanaka you might have mistaken me for the Sannin. I am her cousin from the The Grass Village. I may look like her but I am not her. Gomen.", Sakura said apologetic. Sakura then apologized again then said good bye to Ino.

Ino was left dumbfounded in the street. She took few minutes to process what the girl said. "This is impossible." She said. She went to the Hokage's office as fast as she can. Many things are runnigh through her mind. What are the odds that what the girl said was true? it is impossible for a cousin to look exactly the same from body build, height,skin and face. Even though they are blood related. Unless that girl has some Henge or whatever jutsu to look exactly like Sakura. Did Sakura came back to like and is putting some joke on us? Things run through her mind as she nears the Hokage's office. And when she entered the office,Sasuke was also there. "I am so sorry to disturb you Mr. Hokage but this is serious.", She said in a serious tone. 

Naruto and Sasuke were also in a serious conversation when Ino entered. But when they saw how serious she is, they already knew that she met Sakura.  "Did you see her?", Sasuke asked addressing the question to Ino. She was amazed for a moment because it is the first time Sasuke ever asked her a question. But that is not what is important to her right now. "Yes. You knew too?", she asked back. Sasuke nodded. "Explain this Naruto. I know you are not dumb to believe that she is just Sakura's cousin." she demanded.
