After waiting for like days in the waiting area, I heard a cry. I stood up when I recognised that it was my baby. The nurse who is with me signalled me to wait for them to call me. I don't know what to do. My baby is crying and I can't even hold her. For few minutes one of the doctors yelled at me. "What the hell are you still standing there?! Go and get your daughter. Didn't you hear her cry?". I was taken aback. I was told to wait it's not as if I didn't care if my baby is crying. I felt offended but I just nodded and went to get my baby.

I knew she will still be affected by the anaesthesia for another couple of hours that's why she will be crying whatever I'll do. But I still tried to stop her from crying. I did everything for what felt like hours. I almost cried seeing her in that state but crying won't solve anything. I tried singing and swaying for her to calm many times but it was not just effective. She would stop for a while but would continue again after few minutes. She was also trying to remove her eye patch that is why Doctor Uchiha helped me and held my baby's hand before anything happens. He patiently waited for Lhexine to calm down and after another hour she fell asleep.

"Can we talk now?" He Asked in a very low volume. I just nodded.

"While we were operating on Lhexine her retina got detatched. But we were able to fix that don't worry." He said. I carefully analysed what he said.

"Y-You put silicone oil?" I managed to utter then cursed myself for stuttering. Doctor Uchiha looked shocked from my question probably not expecting me to know about it.

"Yes." He said. Then my face fell. It means my baby would have to go through operation again in the future. He looked at me with sympathy.

"From your reaction you already seem to know that we need to do another operation in the future to remove the oil. I'm sorry it needs to resort to that." He said apologetically. I shook my head.

"No. You don't need to be sorry doc. I know you needed to do that. Thank you for doing everything you can to save my daughter's sight." I said shooking my head then bowing eventually. He nodded in response.

"But that's not all. I noticed something while we were operating her. Her eyes were somehow different from others. I need to know if your daughter has a bloodline which is related to any kekkei genkai." He asked calmly. I didn't have any idea what was kekkei genkai is that's why he got a confused look from me.

"I'm sorry doc. But what is kekkei genkai?" I asked curiously.
"It's some sort of ability that only specific clans do possess like Sharingan and Byakugan . Or perhaps the Alphaen. Those who possess those has their own soecial abilities mostly useful for being a shinobi." Doctor Uchiha said. I nodded. I remember hearing about the sharingan from someone. And only the uchihas got those set of eyes.

"I'm sorry doctor. But I'm afraid I didn't have any bloodline like that. I am a civilian. But her father..." I stopped hesitating.

"It's okay if it's a touchy subject now. I'll just talk to you later. We just needed to know if she has that certain bloodline in order for us to observe her properly." He explained.

"Oh no. I just didn't know about her father. I thought I knew him but it's not what it seemed to be so I am not really sure about it. But if I needed to find and ask him I'll do. But please give me some time until my daughter is fully recovered." I said embarrassed. He just nodded then eventually said goodbye and I thanked him.

When the staffs let us to go back to our room one of the nurse volunteered to carry Lhexine while I changed my scrub suit to my normal clothes. The nurse also apologised for instructing me wait when my baby was crying. She said it was their usual thing and instruction she didn't know that one of the doctors would react that way. I gladly accepted her apology. I changed into my clothes then got my baby from he then thanked her. They let me seat in a wheelchair again while carrying my baby. They will escort us to our room riding in a wheelchair. Again it's their protocol. That's why even embarrassed that I was being pushed through a wheelchair regarding the fact that I can perfectly walk, I still accepted their help gladly.

Daniel was already waiting outside the waiting room. Upon seeing us, he gave me Lhexine's milk. He really know what to do. My baby is probably famished. I gave Lhexine her milk. She sucked her bottle hungrily.

The post operation protocols and medications were not easy to administer to a todller. But the hardest part of this is watching her suffer from pain after the pain killers sudsided. And watching her as she screams whenever the nurse need to put the drops on her eyes every 4 hours. This was our situation for three days.  On our third day , we were cleared to go home but with post op check up and strict administration of the medicines that my baby needs.

The Hokage and Doctor Uchiha escorted us through the hospital exit. Daniel was there and he waved at us. He really is my bestfriend. After he exchanged greeting with the Hokage and Dr. Uchiha, he carried my bag and Lhexine. My house is already ready for our arrival. I bet Daniel cleaned did everything including the cleaning despite my warning. I decided not to argue and just prepared everything including my baby's medicines and food. And when Lhex was already asleep, I decided to take a nap with her.

After four days of handling my baby's post op necessities, we are now scheduled for a follow up check up. I knew that I still need to do a lot including having to contact that bastard again for the information that Dr. Uchiha is asking. But I decided to do that until my baby's medicine stops and her eye patch is removed. The familiar hallway greeted us as we approached the eye institute.  I met Dra. Karin along the way. She smiled and informed me that Dr. Uchiha is already waiting for me on his office. I nodded and thanked her.

The nurse ushered me through the office. As we entered, I greeted Dr. Uchiha. "Be sitted." he said. I think he is not in the mood today.  He sounded so serious that it made me worry. I took off Lhexine's eye patch and he checked her eyes silently. After few minutes of him checking Lhex's eyes, he cleared his throat as he spoke. "Her eyes are good. There is no infection and she is recovering well. I will just lessen the dose of his eye drops and come back to me after another week." I nodded and decided not to ask questions anyway because he seems to be mad or something. I figured that is non of my business. He wrote the prescription and handed it to me. I thanked him as I fixed my daughter's patch . We were about to leave when he called out my name. It felt so weird hearing him say that. I stopped on my track for few seconds and he called my name again.

"Sakura." He said with longing and sadness.
