{Hello! This is written by a person who's still learning english in school, so if I write some words wrong, or some sentences don't make sence, please tell me, I need guidenceXD}
There she was. Her beautiful dark blonde hair, her magical green-blue eyes. It looked like Sophia Archer had it all, the looks, the personality, she was one of the most popular girls in 9th grade. An outsider would never have guessed she was friends with a loser like Ezra.
Ezra Carmen, the weird, shy kid people didn't know much about. But even though he was shy and didn't have many close friends, he wasn't disliked by everyone, except for Brian, Robin and Connor. They are the three "bad boys" in the school. They bullied pretty much everyone who was weak enough and didn't stand up for themselves, like Ezra. And Ezra hated them, mostly Robin, he was the boss of the three and the most aggressive.
Ezra had three good friends, Sophia, Adam and Noah. All in the same class, they hung out with each other(except when Sophia hung out with the other popular kids) everyday at school. With them Ezra didn't feel like a total loser, at least he had a social life.
Ezra has never been like other kids. He was raised by his grandmother from the time he was 4 to 10, then she passed away and he was sent to live with his mom who was a total shut - in who drank too much. She had Ezra at a very young age, that's why Ezra was living with his grandmother for six years. His dad was in prison for theft and some other reason, and was still not out after 10 years. But Ezra didn't really mind any of it. He barely knew his dad, and his mom was distant and unreliable. So with the lack of affection, he has "under-developed" emotions. He's smart, but doesn't talk much, and has a straight face pretty much all the time. Dispite being 15, and a teenager, he wasn't like the other's around him. On top of all this, he's an only child, so he's alone the majority of the day.
"Ezra? Hey, do you hear me?" Ezra suddenly came down to earth. He'd been staring out of the classroom window at the people walking by on the streets. Now he was sitting at his desk at school and Noah was standing right beside him looking annoyed after being ignored. "Oh, sorry, you were saying?"
"Are you coming with us to play soccer? It's finally break before last period." Noah says while pointing at the door where some other classmates are waiting. "Umh...no," he replies and the other boys run outside.
Ezra isn't really a fan of sports, he thinks it's boring. He's bad at it too which doesn't really make him want to play it either. He only likes drawing. He likes to draw things of his imagination and he doesn't need to move his body. Plus he's good at it, which makes it even more fun. He has at least seven used up notebooks with scketches and paintings.
He looks up at Sophia. She's standing on the other side of the classroom with the other girls in the class. They laugh and talk loud, not afraid to speak their minds. Suddenly his gaze gets caught by Sophia and she smiles before running over to him. "Yo!" she greets. "Hey...." he can't look away from her sparkling eyes. "I just hate english, don't you?" Before he can reply she continues. "I mean, why do we need to learn a language we already speak fluently? What's the point?" She stares at him and he realizes she wants a reply. "Uh, well, we need to learn how to use our words right, and Verbs, Nouns and Adjectives." Sophia just forms her mouth to a duck face and leans her chin on her hand while looking outside. "Wanna study at my place after school?"
When school finishes Ezra is one of the last out of the classroom. He doesn't like to rush like the others. Behind him out of the door walks Sophia. When they make it out of the school building she locks their arms and drags him with her. Sophia had no problem being close to people. It just came natural to her. That's one thing Ezra liked about her. No, he loved that about her! She was your typical teenager who was nice to everyone and liked to live life the way she wanted. While they walked side by side Ezra began thinking. What will he do about his feelings for her? Should he confess? What if she didn't like him back. It was impossible to read Sophia, even if he'd known her for six years.
It wasn't unusual for the two to hang out together just the two of them. When they first met, Sophia had missed the first day of school and therefor missed her chance of "clicking" with the other girls in her class who were pretty mean for third graders. The only one she would play with was Ezra who used to be bullied in elementary school for his girlish face and drawing hobby. The other boys would call him a girl, and Ezra didn't dare talk back, so Sophia did it for him. She would even beat them up if they went too far with the teasing. But as they got older, Ezra got less bullied and Sophia got more popular. Ezra was almost as popular as her, but not in the same way. Other sudents knew who he was, they just didn't "click". They thought he was okay, but boring. Girls thought he was cute, but boring. He was just, boring. This was something Ezra was very clear of, he just didn't care. He didn't need many friends, he had Adam, Noah and Sophia.
Adam and Noah had joined Ezra and Sohpia in seventh grade, so they weren't as close as Ezra and Sophia. Ezra was still thankfull for them though. He was glad he had boy - friends and not only Sophia.
Adam was a laid back guy with dark brown hair and blue eyes and quiet the soccer player. He was good at almost every sport and quiet popular among the girls. He would date a girl for a week, then break up with her and move on the next day and date her for a week and then break up and then that cycle would go on and on until there was no more girls to date.
Noah had red hair and freckles. He was known for his incredebly bad luck. Something bad would always happen to him. One time he fell two feet down from a tree and broke his arm. One time he broke a laptop by accidentelly dropping it on his foot. Even small things like missing the buss by two seconds, or breaking his pencils, or slipping on nothing!
When they finally made it to Sophia's house Ezra was ready to sit down and look her in the eyes and tell her his feelings. They took off their shoes and jackets in the entry way and took their bags with them inside. Sophia's house was part of a row house and therefor the home was small and cozy. When you entered the entry way the rest of first floor was visible, living room on the left and kitchen on the right. The stairs to the second floor was in the end of the hallway between the living room and kitchen. When Sophia and Ezra entered, sounds of chatter and car racing came from the living room. Sophia walked in confidentely while Ezra lost some of his courage when he heard they were not alone. Sophia's parents work pretty late so when he's been over before it's only been them, alone.
He walked slowly to the living room and looked at what was going on. In the big sofa sat 4 guys at least two years older than him, while another guy sat on the chair beside them.
"What do you think you're doing?" Sophia asked loudly. The boys on the sofa jumped up at the soud of her voice. "You're grounded! You're not suposed to have friends over, or play games!" Sophia says with a strict tone. The boys look over at the guy sitting in the chair with a snobby grin on his face.
