{Yes, I know that when you get a text from someone you haven't texted before, there's a phone number showing(at least here in Norway) but I was too lazy to make up a fake phone number!}
- Mom?
Her light bleached hair covered her face and it was obvious she was drunk. It didn't even look like she could walk. But Ezra didn't care, it's not his problem. He just left his bag by the living room and went upstairs. He then plummed down on his bed, exhausted.
"Why does my life have to suck so bad?" he thinks to himself. But he knows he didn't do anything to deserve his problems, he was just born into the bad community his ancestores had made for him and all the other kids.
Suddenly his phone bipped, he had gotten a text. He picked up his phone from his backpocket without sitting up. The sender was unknown...
Unknown: Hello there:)
Umh...
Never had Ezra gotten a text from someone he didn't know, so he was unsure of what to do. He decided to answer it just because he was curious. "Maybe it's just a scam..."
"Msthias? Why is Sophia's brother texting me?" He was still a little angry at him for what happened at their house, but he was curious as to why he suddenly asked if he was free.
"Maybe he's going to say sorry for what he said, although, what he said was mostly bad towards Sophia..."
He waited for a few minutes, but he never got a response from him.
"Is he busy? Did he forget about me? Maybe he's just joking with me." Honestly, he didn't really care what happened next, he didn't know Mathias, and he had nothing to achieve from getting to know him.
He jumped by the sudden noise of something hitting his window. He stared at the window for a few seconds, and suddenly something came flying at it again. This time he sat up and walked to the window. Outside he saw...Mathias?! Ezra quickly opened his window and looked down at him.
- Yo! Mathias grinned up at him while playing with a pinecone, that's what he had thrown at his window.
- Wha-what are you doing at my house? Ezra asked.
- I thought since you're free, we could hang out a little bit, he said with a playful smile, it really pissed him off.
- What the hell? Why would I hang out with you? I don't even know you!
- Then let's get to know each other, he said putting his hands in his pockets.
Ezra was convinced this guy was bad news, but he must admit, he was a little lonely...
Plus, he was curious about Sophia's brother, maybe he could help him with their relationship!
He pretended to think it through for a minute.
- Hmm....Ok then! I'll come down, wait there! Then he closed the window again and went downstairs, briefly looking over at his mom, still laying on the couch, then walked out the front door.
Mathias was waiting for him on the same spot behind the house. He had his hands in his hoodie pockets and looked reletively fine, he didn't look like he was about to apologize, which annoyed Ezra a little.
Ezra stopped a few feet away from him.
- You afraid of me or something? Jackson asked with a nice smile.
- no... He looked away, the sun was setting in just a few hours.
- So, what do you want? He asked and turned to him again.
- Wanna go to the skating park? Mathias asked, still smiling.
Ezra just shrugged and followed.
