Chapter 7- Not the face you pumpkin head!

I stared at those beautiful green eyes for a second as it slowly turned into sparkly gold.

Is he wearing some kind of LED lenses, if yes, I so wanted them to scare Roni on Halloween night.

I panicked as I registered the seriousness of the situation.

"Um, Hii what's up!" I exclaimed looking at him and waving.

Did I just say, Hi what's up to a stranger, can I be any more stupid!

He growled loudly at me, I repeat a freaking human growled at me.

Roni shot up in her seat at the sound of him growling.

"What the hell is happening here?" Roni screamed looking around us.

"Put your seatbelt on girl, you are in for a ride" I muttered as I pressed my leg on the accelerator.

I drove my car over a guy who was standing in my way, I really didn't care about anybody who came across my car as my protective instincts took over.

I kept driving into oblivion knowing no matter where I go, I will end up coming back to this place. I drove thinking I can outrun them, but deep down I knew nothing could stop them from getting us.

I looked back in the rear-view mirror to see at least 10 buff men running towards us.

"What are we going to do Lea" Roni shrieked.

"I have no freaking clue" I yelled.

I drove towards the clearing where trees started to disappear when I saw it.

I pressed urgent break of the car as it skidded at the edge of a cliff.

"We could have just died" Roni whispered to herself.

We got out of the car to check the tires, 2 of them had gotten busted. There was no way out.

"We are going to die anyway," I said pointing towards the men who were far but I can tell them by their shadows.

"Run" Roni yelled.

I followed her, as I let my body take control of me and ran as fast as I could. We were scared would be an understatement of the century, we were terrified.

"Look, there's a river out there" Roni whispered as she pointed towards the river.

"Ya, I can see that, what are we going to do about that," I asked.

"We are gonna jump in there" Roni replied.

"Are you crazy?" I whisper-yelled at her.

"Just do as I say" Roni shot back.

"Can you just tell me why?" I asked.

"Look back, they are not in site but if we jump into the water they won't be able to tell where we went," Roni answered.

"And what are they, stupid?" I huffed out.

"This is the only way, Lea, we jump or we die" Roni chided.

"Roni keep running in an opposite direction of mine, run a bit here and there and then we jump, Okay?" I suggested.

"Why would we do that?" Roni questioned as she tried to run faster.

"That way they could get confused for some time, and It will help us swim farther away" I answered trying to keep up with her.

"Okay if you say so, but if you get caught call out my name, okay?" Roni muttered as she took a sharp right turn.

"Okay, take care" I whisper-yelled as I went right.

After about 5 minutes I reached the bank.

I stood there waiting for Roni to come.
