Chapter 6-Why aren't blueberries blue?

Roni really knows how to drive well but I was really scared today just by looking at the speedometer, I think it will freaking break if she doesn't slow down anytime soon.

After leaving our house I left a voicemail to Riley telling about our sudden change of plan and were about in case he needed my help.

We drove in silence for few minutes as I watched trees pass by, I always kept windows rolled down, I like the feel of cold air kissing my skin as it goes by.

After a few moments of boredom, it was time to use the map as we didn't know the way. It was difficult to use would be an understatement, as I have never used a map and I have no idea about half of the place. After going through same way thrice Roni thought I am incapable of reading maps and handed me the wheels while she tried to use the map.

"Are you sure you know which way we are supposed to go?" I questioned doubtfully.

"This is my job Lea, I'm perfectly capable of reading the maps, unlike you" she huffed.

"Hey, I was not that bad" I tried to defend myself.

"We wasted one freaking hour going through the same place thrice, you're hopeless for the job" she deadpanned.

"Well you shouldn't have trusted me with this job in the first place" I muttered.

"Oh, I'm Sorry your highness my mistake" she muttered sarcastically.

I chuckled, "Its okay you peasant, I accept your apology."

She shook her head," You did get our aux cord right?"

"Ya, it's in that compartment," I answered while pointing towards it.

"Which song do you want to hear?" She asked.

I shrugged,"Just play whichever you like."

Who run the world by Beyoncé blasted through speaker scaring the shit out of me for a second, nevertheless, I sang with Roni.

We took a load of pictures and videos of each other while we took taking turns driving.

"What would you do if I told you that I was in an accident and they had to replace my feet with hands? Would you still love me?"Roni asked thoughtfully.

I thought about it, "What if instead of hands it was dog paws?"

Roni scoffed,"Then you'd love me more wouldn't you?"

"Aww, I'd love you no matter what"I answered truthfully.

We kept asking each other silly questions like,

Why aren't blueberries blue?

What if Batman gets bitten by a vampire?

If the president of gay, would his husband be the first man?

If money doesn't grow on trees then why do banks have branches?

We laughed at our own stupidity as I drove through the darkness.

"Hey, I'm really hungry let's eat something Martha packed for us" Roni whined.

"I think we should just stop by a diner on the way today and save Martha's snacks for tomorrow as we have no idea if there would be any store or not" I suggested.
