Chapter 11- How are we supposed to pee here?

His one sentence had me thinking about everything that has been happening to us is because of me and Roni had to suffer for it.

Why does always have to talk in puzzles?

What did he mean by he is partially human?

What did he mean when he said I am the danger?

Should I trust him with his words?

What if he is trying to gain our trust by sympathy?

All these questions kept swirling in my brain but I didn't get the answers to any of it, I was starting to get headaches because of all the stress.

I still don't trust him though something is off about him, why would anybody be nice to us for no reason at all? He knows our strengths and weaknesses and knows exactly when to push the right button, something about him is keeping me on the edge every time I talk to him, but I decided to keep my thoughts about him to myself.

"Still thinking about what he said?" Roni questioned me.

"Aren't you?" I retorted.

"I am really worried about you Lea, but you can't let people's words get you" she replied comfortingly.

"I know, but hey at least there is a bit relief knowing they won't kill us since I am quite important," I said as I emphasized on the words quite important.

Roni shook her head, "They won't kill you, Lea, because you are important but he never said anything about me."

"I won't let them do anything to you if they do they have to kill me too" I replied.

She does have a point though but I didn't have the guts to face the reality where Roni won't be with me. We belong together as the best friends ever, without her I have nobody to fight for nor to live for.

"You don't have to die because of me or for me, Lea" Roni mumbled softly.

"I know I don't have to, I'll do it because I want to" I responded.

"Promise me you won't give up, fight for yourself no matter what" Roni chided.

"I can't promise you tha-"  She cut me off.

"Promise me, Lea, swear to me," she said determinedly.

I sighed, I know there was no point in arguing with her at this point so I nodded my head affirmatively as she smiled at me with relief in her chocolate brown eyes.

We sat there in a comfortable silence for few minutes as I thought about what we could have been doing if we were back at home, hell I don't even know what day it is anymore before I daydream some more about my past, her voice brought me back to reality.

"Are you still thinking about Vince and what he said?" she questioned me with tiredness in her voice.

"Not really, but I was thinking about it before" I answered honestly.

"I think we should believe what he said, at least consider it" she replied softly.

I sighed, this conversation was going to be difficult to have with her at this point, but I had to.
