As soon as his row got backstage, Tanner could feel the nervousness running through his blood, but at the same time it felt good because this was his moment to express his feelings, there was no turning back now. After the first few contestants, he took a deep breath before walking on stage where the light immediately blinded him. But once he adjusted his sight, he made his way to the microphone where he spotted Autumn in the audience staring at him with surprise in her eyes. He returned with a small smile as he turned back to the audience.
"Um, before I began" he spoke into the microphone "I just wanna say that I didn't exactly prepare a poem for this because everything that I'm going to say came from my heart."
He gave another deep breath as he started.
