Laura vs. Denki

// quick A/N so the number is even and things make a bit more sense I'm going to take out Ibara and change up some fights so don't get confused or upset about changes please remember this is a fanfiction it's not always going to follow the others identically //

3rd person P.O.V

(Y/N) looks at the score board to see who would be fighting next "Oh it's Kaminari versus Laura". Aizawa nods "their quirks are both strong but Kaminari doesn't need to use his strength as much as Laura so he does have a bit of an advantage while Laura need to focus her strength and mind on where she wants her crystal like quirk to be so she needs to either defend or attack right away" Aizawa looks at the screen.  "Yeah you're right I didn't think of it that way" (Y/N)'s eyes widen a bit at the realization then flinched hearing Hizashi yell. "Here's our next fighters! From Class 1-A a young man with quite the electric quirk it's Denki Kaminari!". Denki grinned as he stood on the arena. (Y/N) looks at him "You're gonna be making puns..". "And another from class 1-A a girl with a mind as strong as her quirk Laura (L/N)!". Laura smiles and walks into the arena.

"Don't worry Laura I'll make your loss up to you with a nice date how about a romantic walk in the park with ice cream" Denki looks at her. "Aww that's sweet but I think I would be the one to have to cheer you up after this fight" Laura had one foot in front of her as she spoke. "Begin!" Midnight announced. "Oh yeah?! Well i hate to say you're wrong but!" Denki yelled and used his quirk at full power.

"Wow what a move! Did this fight end just as it began?!" Hizashi yelled. (Y/N) watched "uh..Hizashi I think you might want to have a closer look" she pointed out.

Laura had built up a small crystal wall that she was crouched down behind avoiding the bolts of electricity. "Huh?" Denki looks at her.

"Like I said she either needed to defend or attack right away so she defended with what little time she had" Aizawa looks at her. (Y/N) nods "she kept her foot in front of her where she placed the barrier, by talking back to him She created a small gap of time just enough to make a barrier to hide behind, she took a guess at what Kaminari was going to do and it worked". "Whoa it looks like Laura knew her opponents move exactly! What's her next move?!" Hizashi grinned.

"How would you like this loss to be made up Denki?!" Laura had put the crystal on the bottom on her shoes and hopped over the barrier rushing at him. "Huh?!" Denki's eyes widen in shock and tried to use his quirk on her again but felt a strong push and fell back on his butt over the boundary line. Laura looks at him "No harsh feeling right?" Laura looks at him. Denki's face had a dumbfounded look as he held to thumbs up "ye". "I'll take that as a yes and I owe you an ice cream " Laura smiles. "Kaminari is out! (L/N) is the winner and advances to the next round!" Midnight announced.

(Y/N) smiles "they both did great hopefully Kaminari will use this as a learning experience to not go head first in a fight and put everything into one hit especially if it's the first one". "Wise words from Phaser!" Hizashi grinned.

Laura walks back to the seating area as Denki was being taken to the infirmary till he was making sense again. "Good job Laura that was brilliant planning on defense  and a smart move on a fast attack" Izuku looks at her. "Thanks although I think my first move wasn't all that intelligent it was a guess move and if he was forced enough the second I got up he would have beat me besides my mind was uncertain because it was a guess I made the barrier would have broken if it was an even stronger attack" Laura rubbed the back of her head "so this won't sound hero like but it was kinda like a draw of luck that it worked out since I was 50 on it working and 50 on it not". "What it was all guess work?! But it looked well planned" Iida looks at her.

"Like mother like daughter huh?" Aizawa looks at  (Y/N). "What do you mean?" She looks at him. "Remember you did something similar during our sports festival, you told me exactly after you won the first round of the final event 'i wasn't sure on a plan so I went with my gut and hoped lady luck was on my side I know it's not hero like' ". "Oh i remember that" Hizashi looks at them "but look at you now, all hero yet those words weren't" He chuckled. "Shut up I was young!" (Y/N) blushed embarrassed.
