By Your Side

The Obstacle Race pt.2

Third person P.O.V

(Y/N) sat on the edge of her seat as she watched the students pass the robots and get to the next obstacle. She manged to somewhat tune out Hizashi, a special skill you pick up on when you've known him for years, as he yelled about the obstacle "The Fall".  Hizashi looks at  (Y/N) "Well someone is quite literally on the edge of their seat". "What can I say I'm eager to see how they'll test their skills on this part" (Y/N) looks at him "this may seem tricky but if you put your mind to it, it can be simple to pass " she said in your her microphone. "Well put Phaser to be a hero you need to be both mentally and physically strong boys and girls!" Hizashi grinned. (Y/N) went back to watching the students.

Laura looks at the ropes a bit nervous then looked at Iida and and idea went through her head. She walks to the rope and made the bottom of her shoe become covered in a layer of crystal then backed up a bit running to it and slide on the rope to the other rock. Her shoe that wasn't coveted in crystal helped her keep a steady speed as she continued this method of getting through the obstacle.

(Y/N) held her breath a few times as she watched Laura cross the ropes. Her motherly side always showed even though she tried to push it aside in the school to treat Laura like she was just anther student but she couldn't help but feel nervous as she watched. Aizawa looks at  (Y/N) "you know she'll be okay right". She nods "yeah i just can't help but worry". "Don't worry so much it's just a sports festival no one's been too damaged in one before " Hizashi looks at them. Aizawa rolled his eyes "Shut it you'd feel the same way if it was your kid out there". "Oh so are you saying you see Laura as your kid too? Hmm are you and  (Y/N) secretly dating?" Hizashi kept rambling until  (Y/N) elbowed him in the side. Hizashi rubbed his side "Well it looks like they're coming up on the last obstacle the mine field!" As Hizashi went on about the mine field  (Y/N) looked at Aizawa. Aizawa was watching the students but looked like he had something on his mind. (Y/N) went back to watching but made a mental note to talk him later.

Laura saw Bakugo and Todoroki fight for the lead making their way through the mine field and grinned. She carefully tiptoed around the mines thinking if she manged to be quick and avoid the two she'd pass them but she didn't notice not too far behind her Izuku would beat her to it. She looks behind her and saw Izuku slam the scrap piece from the robot onto a big pile of mines. Her eyes widen as she watched him fly over her "No way!" She sped up then tried to stop as Izuku set off the mines between Bakugo and Todoroki causing another big explosion. She made a shield on her arms to stop the debris from hitting her. She took in a deep breath ran through the smoke. She got rid of her shield so she could pick up her pace hoping to catch up to Izuku or just to stay in front of Todoroki and Bakugo.

(Y/N) watched in anticipation seeing how close second place is for Laura. She kept cheering her on in her head hoping she'd place second.

Laura looks behind her seeing an angry Bakugo glaring at her and Todoroki about to pass her. She gulped and picked up the pace seeing how close the finish line is.

(Y/N) was leaning forward seeing how close it was "come on Laura.." she whispers lowly to herself.

Laura pushed herself harder and passed getting second barely by a step from Todoroki. She grinned before being bumped into by a very VERY angry Bakugo. She quickly moved to behind Izuku.

(Y/N) jumped from her seat knocking over her microphone and chair "yeah! That's my baby!" She cheered. Hizashi chuckled and Aizawa watched her cheer and had a small smile on his face even though it as hidden. She picked up her chair "I can't believe it second place yahoo! I knew she'd do it!" She smiles. "Told you not to worry" Hizashi looks at her. Aizawa nods "very proud". She sat back down in her chair and fixed her microphone and waited to hear the next challenge.
