Song: My Immortal by Evanescence

So I'm sitting here in my room, listening to Skylar's stories that sound as if they belong in a comedy movie.

I forgot to mention that Skylar is British, so I've expanded my British vocabulary in the short time of knowing her. She came to visit me today while Draven is out securing the borders with his guards.

When Skylar heard that I was to be alone in my room, she quickly burst through the door.

It started out something like this....

Earlier that day:

"Knock knock knock, I'm invading your privacy like a concerned parent!" Skylar exclaims as she opens the door to the bedroom.

I'm lying on the bed, reading a great book about humans. The book is called Rescued. It's about a gang leader and an abused girl as they struggle with their pasts and struggle to find love. The human author really is talented and has captured my attention and emotions into this book, and I have to force myself to peel my eyes away and stop reading.

I smile at her and say, "H-hello Skylar."

She flops down onto the bed, her dark hair being sprawled about on the mattress. Her face is smashed into the mattress, and she lets out a muffled, "How are you doing?"

I laugh and reply, "Okay, I guess....what about yourself?"

She sits up, and sits cross-legged on the bed next to me. "Pretty great. Just came in here to hang with my new friend." She says, wiggling her eyebrows in an interesting manner.

I laugh at her facial expressions as she continues to talk. "Sooo how are you liking this pack? Is everyone treating you well?"

I nod. "Oh yes, of course. It's...it's a good change." I reply, adding a small smile.

We just make small talk as we warm up with each other, and it isn't long before we are sharing stories with one another.

She's telling me stories about her siblings, and I'm laughing as I remember memories with my own family.

I decide that I'm comfortable to talk about my family, as I want to share the good memories I had with them before they were murdered. So, I begin to tell a story about them.

"One time, my family was leaving a restaurant, so when we opened the door, an old couple was standing outside the door, just about to come in as we were going out. The old lady rudely said, 'get out.'"

"Wow how rude of her!" Skylar exclaims.

"Right? Any way, we were shocked at her rudeness, but as we were walking out, my mom said, 'brrrr it's cold outside!' The grumpy old lady replied, 'not really' in her rude, scratchy tone, to which my mom turns around and replies, 'Yeah, not as cold as you!'" By the time I'm done, I'm laughing as I remember the good times with my family.

And when I look over at Skylar, she's busting up laughing.

"I'm DEAD!" She replies, laughing. "Your mum's a SAVAGE!" She leans back, laughing, but suddenly, she falls off the side of the bed, hitting the floor with a loud thump. I burst out laughing.

"Shit. I just fell off the bed." She says in between laughs.

The door suddenly swing open, revealing Teddy in a pink apron. His face reads something along the lines of what the hell.

"Is everything alright up here? I heard a loud thump." He says. His eyes then land on me, who's still sitting there laughing on the bed. He then eyes Skylar, who's lying on the floor, with a goofy smile on her face.
