Chapter 9: Getting to know you

After their little walk and fun with riddles the week continued on without any delays, now it was Saturday and Eren was thinking of taking a walk or going to the mall.

She chose the former and took a walk. Upon walking she came across Levi who was just about go to the park with his puppy, a Labrador named Beau.

"Oh. hey Levi."

"Where are you going?" He asked

"Oh just walking around. Maybe to the park or anywhere."  She shrugged.

"Well me and Beau are going to the park... You wanna come with us?" Levi offered.

Eren smiled and nodded. "Sure." She said.

While they were on their way, Eren decided to play 20 questions and maybe get to know Levi a little.

"So... Levi I never thought of you as a dog person."

"Really? What did you think I would be?"

"Maybe a cat person...? I don't know."
He chuckled.

"Well I'm both. I have a cat named Grey. And I got Beau here, about a month ago."

Eren nodded.

"How about you?" Levi asked.

"Me?" Eren asked shocked.

"Yeah, you, who else?" He laughed.

Oh my gosh did Levi Ackerman – the emotionless hottie – just laugh?!
I think the world is ending!
Eren thought.

"Um, yeah  I - um I like both." Why the heck am I stuttering?! She thought once more.

"Can I just ask?"

"You already are aren't you?"

"Right, uh how come you don't talk much?"

"I talk to you." Eren rolled her eyes.

"Okay let me rephrase that." She said clearing her throat.

"How come you don't talk much to other people?"

"They annoy me. Most especially Hanji."

"But why?"

"I'm an introvert."

"You don't look like an introvert."

"How come?"

"You're more of an ambivert." She said glancing at him.

"A what?"

"An ambivert is a person whose personality has a balance of extrovert and introvert features." She explained.

"So yeah, I think you're an ambivert."

"You have any siblings?"

"I have a step brother. His name's Zeke, though I haven't seen him in Months."

"Really? Where is he?"

"Might be in Germany or maybe in Japan. I don't know. He's in the army somewhere. That's all I know." She sighed.

"Touchy subject?"

"Not really. How about you?"

"I'm an only child."

"Okay. Uh what's your favorite color...?"

"Really?" He deadpanned

"It was the only thing I could think!"

"Alright. Dark Blue. You?" He said looking over to me.

"Cyan." Eren answered smiling.

"Okay, what do you like to do?"

"I like to paint and draw, sing, dance a little, I like to cook but I'm not really good at it." She said looking down at her shoes.

"You?"

"Well I like to clean."

"Yeah I picked that up about maybe a week ago?" She chuckled. "Anything else?"

"I like to bake."

"And?"

"I think that's about it."

"Seriously? There's gotta be more!"

"I like you." He said looking at the ground.

"As a friend?" She asked almost feeling a pang in her chest.

"It's up to you if you consider me your friend."

"Of course I do!"

Moments later the arrived at the park and they sat on one of the benches.

Levi still kept an emotionless face which Eren has gotten used to.

"What else?" She asked him.

Levi looked at her weirdly.

"Oh come on! Is it wrong if I wanna get to know you?" She said throwing her hands up in the air.

"Not really but if you really wanna know me, let me get to know you." At this Eren smiled.

They sat there and talk for a while until Levi asked.

"Have you ever had a boyfriend?"

"Uh... Well yeah but it didn't work out."
Lie.

"Well I'm sorry to here that."

They conversed for a little while. By this time Beau was lying in the ground sleeping.

All was well until Levi's phone ringed inside his pocket. He excused himself and asked Eren to watch Beau. She nodded and started to pet the puppy.

After a few minutes later Levi came back with an annoyed expression on his face.

"Let me guess was that your girlfriend ~?" She teased.

"No just some annoying person."

"Oh okay sorry."

"No, its okay, you were just messing around."

"Yeah so... Where were we?"

I didn't expect my mind to work like this but I just went with it.
