Chapter 40: Grow old with you

After the wedding, the united families then headed to Sina cafe where the wedding reception was being held.

Upon entering the building, the newly weds were created by a shower of confetti and balloons.

"Ladies and gentlemen! Mr. And Mrs. Ackerman!" Jean said through the microphone.

The room erupted to cheers.

The couple got seated and the party began.

"Testing, mic check..."

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Tonight we celebrate - not only the union of two lovers, but the union of two families as well. Ladies and gentlemen Mr. And Mrs. Ackerman!" Erwin said over the microphone.

The room filled with applause and cheers. The newly weds stood up and waved to everyone.

"As we sit back and eat the wonderful food
Brought on to us by the one and only Chef Levi Ackerman." Erwin said gesturing to Levi.

"And company." Levi added. Everyone laughed.

Erwin laughed and smiled continuing on.

"And now lets hear a few words from the brother of the bride. Ladies and gentlemen, Zeke Jaeger."

Again applause filled the room.

"Thank you Erwin."

"Levi," he looked at his now brother-in-law and smiled.

"When I first met you, I thought of you nothing more than just a baseball player and Eren's acquaintance. However, you proved me wrong. You showed me that you are capable of loving her, protecting her, heck you even put up with her sassy remarks - !"

"Hey that's me in the nutshell!" Eren said, everyone laughed and she pouted. Levi kissed the pout off her lips, she immediately melted into the kiss.

"-and remained loyal to her. For as long as I've known you, you've done nothing but support her, and many more!

"You put her first even though it didn't work out for you, and to be honest, you're the man who suits her better than anyone I've ever known. I wouldn't ask for a better brother-in-law than you. So here I say welcome to the family." Zeke ended his speech.

Levi seemed touched by his speech, he smiled.

"Touching." He said.

"Thank you Zeke. And now, a quick power point presentation by Mrs. Hanji Zoe - Smith." He said calling out his wife.

The lights of the room were suddenly turned off.

Then came on the projector lights.

There in bold letters read "grow old with you" followed by the strumming of an acoustic guitar.

The last was on there wedding day just taken a few hours ago, the lovers in their wedding attire. Levi holding a (sort of) banner saying "I stole her heart." And Eren's banner saying "So I'm stole his last name." While looking deep into each others eyes lovingly, both smiling contentedly.
