Chapter 16: Roses are red

After the events of last night, Eren woke up from her peaceful slumber to her newly painted room.

"The perks being an artist." She smiled.

After getting ready for the day she headed to school.

Strolling down the hallway, she made her way to her locker. Upon opening it, something fell. A note.

She picked it up, and felt heat rise to her cheeks. The note contained a poem.

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Love never crossed my mind
Until the day I met you.
-your secret admirer.

Just then Armin came up to her.

"Hey Eren! What do you have there?" He asked. Eren handed him the note and took out her book.

"Hey guys." Mikasa greeted.

Eren waved at her and Armin smiled.

"Hey Mika. Guess what?" Armin started.

"What?"

Armin handed Mikasa the note, she read it and raised her brow.

"Looks like someone has a secret admirer ~" Armin said in a singsong voice.

"It might have been in the wrong locker." Eren defended.

"Or someone has a crush on you~"

"Who ever that is, might as well back down. They don't have a chance with Eren, so why try?" Mikasa said crumpling the note and throwing it in the nearby trashcan.

"The poem's cheesy and could use some work though." Eren noted.

"Yeah, if they're using that 'roses are red' poem they should try to make it more creative." Armin said.

"Oh well guys, this is my room. See you at lunch." Eren and they went on.

"Should we tell him?" Armin asked.

"Nah, he'll probably already knew it." Mikasa waved off.

Again, Eren went to her locker to get her books and notes since she forgot about it due to the whole secret admirer thing.

Getting her book and rushing off to the music room, once there she sat down in her usual seat and waited for the teacher.

"Hey, how's it been?" Brad asked her.

She looked at him and smiled.

"Oh you know, weird as always. You?"

"I'm good, Emily and I went on a movie marathon this Saturday, man she was really persistent to watch all of the DVDs she's collected." He laughed.

"Ah, brother - sister bonding moment, I know the feeling." She laughed along.

"When is he coming back by the way? Your brother." He asked.

"This Friday. Its been Almost a year since I've last seen him, and I'm really excited!" She exclaimed.

"Yeah, he's really overprotective. Remember the time he almost killed Renier because he pushed you too high up the swing set?" He laughed.

"Oh don't remind me! Oh and there was a time that he threatened my crush in 5th grade." Both laughed.

Then both started to chat along the memories they each shared with their siblings.
