No ones POV
Keith tossed in his bed, unable to get comfortable again. That's the problem with waking up, you can never get back to sleep again.
"Keeeef." A childish voice called out and a small hand pushed him slightly. "Keef! I'm hungry!" Keith wondered who could possibly be in his room demanding food early in the morning and partly opened one eye.
"What-" he stopped and gawked at the figure next to his bed, standing wobbly on their tippy toes just to reach him. "Keef! Wake up." A squeaky voice came from the small child who had a shockingly familiar appearance of Lance, only younger.
"Who... Who are you?" Keith wondered if perhaps he was still asleep and that this was simply a dream but the irritable tapping from the smaller was enough to tell him that he was very much awake.
"Lance!" Keith sat up cautiously and Lance swung his arms up in a gesture that said he wanted to be picked up. "Up! I want to go up." Keith didn't know what to do so he slowly picked tiny Lance up and rested him on his hip bone, wanting to find an explanation.
"Ok, let's go see Shiro ok? He'll know what to do." Keith wasn't sure if he was talking to his company or himself but it didn't matter, Lance responded anyway.
"Yay! Shiwo." There was a slight slur to the name, hardly noticeable but enough to tell Keith that this kid was about four maybe three.
It was ridiculous to see him in oversized clothes hanging off him and swamping him in fabric. They were just another realisation that this was in fact Lance and not some random kid.
Keith walked with him to Shiro's bedroom and knocked on the door, ignoring Lances babble about some teady bear.
"Keith? What do you waaaaa-" Shiro's mouth hung open in confusion and he looked back and forth between Keith and Lance many times, still dragging the 'a' out until he finally stopped and pointed at Lance.
"Explain Keith, please tell me what the quiznack is going on." Keith explained what he knew and Lance started to kick off, saying he wanted Shiro to carry him. Keith was more than happy to comply and dumped him in Shiro's arms before she could protest. Crossing his arm so Shiro couldn't give the toddler back.
"Hey! Don't give him to me!" Shiro balanced Lance carefully, trying not to drop the squirmy child. "Cookies! I want cookies!" Lance demanded with a giggle, waving his arms frantically.
"Ok, ok. Let's go get the others and decide what to do. Maybe we can figure out what happened." Keith nodded and left to go get everyone while Shiro stalked into the kitchin, plopping Lance down on the couch before looking through the cupboards for the cookies Lance desperately wanted.
"Sorry Lance, I can't find any." Lance looked up at him with big blue eyes, shimmering with tears as he sniffled. "B-but I want some." He started crying on the couch and Shiro sighed, dragging a hand down his face before walking back over and kneeling down, picking him up and hugging him.
"I'm sorry, maybe we can get Hunk to make some." Lance nodded and nussled his head into Shiro's shoulder, cuddling up to him with his small body.
"What the Fuck!" Shiro snapped his head over to Pidge and gave her a hard glair. "Pidge, language." She walked over not looking guilty and mumbled a small "sorry" before looking at Lance who had now spun round in Shiro's arms at the noise.
"Pidge!" Pidge looked at him with wide eyes and Lance jumped in Shiro's arms wildly. "Pidge, Pidge, Pidge, Pidge!" He giggled cutely and leaned forwards into her arms, giving her a hug. "What happened? Is this Lance?" Shiro nodded before shrugging and telling her that he had no idea what was going on.
"Good morning palladins, Keith told me there was a problem." "Llura!" Allura gawked at Lance and took a step closer, examining the toddler closely. "Lance?" He nodded and said proudly "Lance! I'm Lance." At this moment Hunk walked in and screamed, shouting out in confusion as Lance continued to giggle, finding their expressions hilarious.
"How?" Hunk questioned, just as baffled as everyone else. "Your guess is as good as mine." Keith pipped up from the back, walking over to Lance who unexpectedly planted a kiss on his cheek. "I love Keef." Lance stated proudly, the now taller male blushing a bright red and stepping away in confusion.
"What's he talking about? He's clearly still got his memories but he's acting strange." Shiro sighed and placed Lance on the floor where he began to run over to Hunk, asking for cookies. "He's a toddler Keith, I think that means he also acts like one." Keith nodded and sat down on the couch, watching Lance play with Hunk.
"How do we get him back to normal then?" Shiro shrugged and folded his arms, "first we have to figure out what happened and I think I might just know." Keith tilted his head in interest and motioned for him to go on.
"Remember the fight we had yesterday with Hagger? Lance got hit by her magic but nothing happened, maybe that magic caused him to become a child again." Keith nodded and wrung his hands together, taking a peak at Lance to see him running around and playing tag with the others clumsily.
"You're probably right, how do we fix it though?" Shiro shrugged. "I'm guessing only Haggar can fix it. Though maybe it will wear off with time." Keith nodded skepticaly then yelped when he felt Lance run into his leg. "Sorry keef." He said with a smile before running off again like nothing had happened.
"Is it going to be like this all the time?" Keith was talking more to himself but Shiro answered anyway. "Probably, he's going to have to tire out eventually though."
That's what they all thought until four hours later Lance was still running around, not tired in the slightest.
