The Year 1889.

It was an ordinary morning at the Phantomhive estate, and the dawn was running along smoothly, the same as everyday.

The servants Mey-Rin, Finny, Bardroy, and Tanaka were their usual bubbly, buoyant selves. Busy wreaking havoc throughout the entire manor. Their enthusiastic, and boisterous nature being heard from miles away. And, all the while the adequate, skilled butler was off to work.

Pressing the creases out of his masters daily newspaper with an iron, Sebastian began to conduct yet another indifferent, fluid morn for the head of the household, Ciel Phantomhive, whom he had made a contract with.

Sebastian had given up his more wild Demon ways, and traded in his free life for a pair of cuffs in the shape of a butlers suit.

He worked twenty-four seven dutifully, exceptionally, and skillfully. Preforming even the most mundane acts perfectly without a single fault, or mistake.

He became one hell of a butler, and in exchange he'd receive Ciel's soul eventually. A soul that the Demon found to be rather familiar in a way for Ciel in his childlike thirteen year old self sometimes reminded Sebastian of a figment of his past. A sweet daydream of a memory, a beautiful ghost that continued to haunt him. Elsbeth...

Folding up the straightened newspaper he set it on top of the sterling silver tray that was garnished with a delicately painted tea set with a steaming pile of poached eggs, smoked sausage, and a side of raspberry tarts for Ciel's sweet tooth.

Swiftly, the butler whisked the tray onto his broad shoulder, and balanced his white glove underneath it.

Gliding with a quick pace up the main staircase Sebastian took off towards Ciel's quarters, and cruised inside the large master bedroom.

Gently placing the tray down onto the nightstand Sebastian then flicked open the dusty blue velvet drapes which hung above the windows of the room, allowing the place to be completely overcome by the radiant blinding morning light.

The scintillating sunny shine burned against the Earl's shut eyes, making his nose scrunch up, and wrinkle in disdain.

"It's time to get up, Master." The butler chirped, retrieving his Lordships clothing for the day.

Ciel's clouded, hazy hetero-chromatic orbs opened halfway as he shifted underneath his cozy duvet cover. Reaching over for the handle of the teacup beside him. The robust, yet soothing aroma of Earl Gray awakening him from his rather exhausted daze.

The noble boy sat up, and peacefully sipped on his steaming drink as Sebastian took to dressing him like a doll, putting on every layer of the Guard Dogs outfit. From the navy socks, to the wool shorts, to the satin emerald bow around his neck.

"I brought your breakfast up here, my Lord." Sebastian spoke, handing the plate over onto the breakfast tray beside the boy.

"Fine, but I'll read my newspaper in the solarium. Make me some more tea as well." Ciel ordered, handing Sebastian back the paper, and with a bow the dedicated butler stepped out of the bedroom.

Ascending down the immaculately carved wooden staircase the servant got the solarium all set up for his small master, and waited patiently for his arrival.

Ciel soon stepped into the spacious, aglow solarium, and he peered his head over near the grand windows, seeing Finny work on trimming all of the trees that outlined his courtyard.

Taking a seat down onto one of the two chaise lounge chairs Ciel flipped open his London Times, and reclined slightly back against his plush seat.
