Possessive.

The crescent moon hung high up in the navy late night sky, aglow in a shimmering blue light. Twinkling stars flickered like fireflies, and a cool wind whipped across my dusty rose hued cheeks. Billowing wisps of gray clouds nestled in the dark backdrop behind the buildings of London, and a thick mist webbed around the inner streets of the silent town.

The candles which were usually lit up in the tops of the lampposts were burnt out, and everything around me was dead quiet. Everyone was huddled up asleep in their homes, birds that usually swept lively all throughout the hamlets were now in the comfort of their nests within the leafy trees, and not even a single late night wanderer could be seen.

Ceaselessly, I scoured all throughout the nooks, corners, and outskirts of London to find Fredrick's home. Going only by the scent of him, and with the florescent light of the moon's shine.

Fredrick continued to rest in my arms, looking actually at ease, and it made me happy to see.

Sebastian silently just followed me like a shadow wherever I went, not saying a word, but he was probably mocking me in his head.

Finally smelling the same scent that was coming from a little stone cottage I felt a bit uplifted, glad, and relieved that I had found Fredrick's home, but as I grew closer towards the quaint cottage I noticed how rundown it looked.

The shingles were peeling off the roof, broken glass from the smashed windows decorated the front porch, and no light was on inside.

The house looked to be abandoned for it was completely in tatters from the ripped up curtains, to the overgrown ivy which was knitted all over its stone walls way up to the metal chimney flue.

The white fence lining the yard was beaten down, and the wallpaper was peeling off the walls indoors. Nothing of any significant value remained in the home except a couple of tarnished knickknacks which were chipped anyway.

"The boys mother died almost a year ago, and this cottage fell into disarray. Common thieves took what they wished, and no one has wished to buy this small, ramshackle of a property since its simply become a money pit with no real worth." Sebastian illustrated, making me clutch Fredrick even more tightly in my arms.

"He's been waiting for his mother, and to go back to the comfort of his own home this whole time, and this is what has happened to his life? His mother is dead, and even his own house has nothing left inside of it? Not even a couple of childhood mementos to take with him?"

"Humans lead miserable lives. He should learn it sooner rather than later." Sebastian averred in far too of a cynical Demon tone then I wanted to hear right now.

"Well, I won't let that happen. Fredrick is just a little boy who deserves happiness."

Swiftly, I carried Fredrick to the nearest orphanage, not caring that everyone was asleep inside, and I banged on the door.

Soon a rather exhausted Nun in a night robe answered, her mind still in a sleepy daze.

I handed the boy over to her, and with her eyes widening at his frail appearance she snapped out of her hazy, dozed off state.

"This boy is named Fredrick, and he has no where to go. Please take him in." I pleaded, and the boy woke up, peering over at me.

"Where's my mommy?"

"She's on a trip, Fredrick. But, she says that she loves you, and that she'll come for you soon." I lied, reassuring the lad, making a small smile spread across his face, and with the comforting fib I had just told him he went on back into a deep slumber.

The orphanage door shut, and for a moment I just stood there, staring at nothing.

Sebastian slipped off his long black trench coat, and wrapped it around my shoulders, bringing to attention the fact that I was still dressed in my prostitute facade outfit.

I gripped onto the sides of the wool coat, and relaxed into the fabric, the scent of Sebastian flooding into my nose.

"Don't you think you should of told that boy the truth?"

"Maybe..." I mulled as we turned to leave.

"But, just for tonight I wanted him to sleep peacefully without any distress in a cozy bed underneath blankets contently. I didn't want him to have to face the cruel truth, at least not right now. But, anyway. Did Ciel order you to come, and get me tonight?" I asked, wanting to change the grim topic onto another one that I was interested in.

"No, my master has long since been asleep." Was the answer that I received from the tall, black butler, making my eyebrows arch upward.

"Then why did you come get me from Henry Vanguard's mansion? Did you truly go against your precious masters wishes just to get me out of there sooner? I was handling it perfectly fine on my own, you know."

"Oh, you were?" Sebastian snidely snapped, halting in place. "Then enlighten me, what would you of done had I not intervened when I did?"

"I would of let Henry continue obviously," I blatantly back-talked. "And, if you hadn't of came when you did I probably would of received more information which is what Ciel originally wanted."

"You would of let that filthy human continue?" Sebastian expressed, his magenta eyes sizzling as he lightly, yet forcefully pressed me up against a nearby shops window, the icy glass colliding against my warm skin causing a faint gasp to emit from my mouth.

With a gaze of pure venom Sebastian tightly caressed a rather large purple hickey that was on the side of my neck, his fingers brushing against the tender, sucked on spot.

"Yes, I would of let him continue despite how crude, and greedy he was. Besides, I'm just a filthy Vampire who's been with a Demon. Why should I have any standards? And, why should you care anyway?" I barked out, noticing how his glare softened into a look of longing, and control.

"I do care. I don't want a human, or anything else to touch you." Sebastian whispered in my ear while his hands lightly dug into my thighs, his lips just barely ghosting over my own plump, ruby ones.

My hands threaded through his glossy, raven hair as I tugged on a few loose strands, making him smirk, his spidery fingers traveling up to the slit of my black skirt, and skillfully sliding underneath the satin fabric.

Though I decided against lust, refusing to let the hungry Demon have his way with me.

"Sebastian, since I gave you human emotions I'll tell you what you're feeling now... Desire. But, I've found that desire is a meaningless emotion. You, in truth, do not have the right to be possessive considering the circumstances." I said victoriously as I turned to leave, but knowing Sebastian like the back of my hand I knew that he wouldn't let me have the last word.

I felt him pull me back a bit too harshly, so that my backside was firmly pressed against his torso. His gloved hands tangled within my own, and he leaned in close to me, his breath hitting my ear.

"Considering the circumstances, it is my right. I don't like it when people touch things that aren't theirs. You're mine, and you always will be."

I frowned at his words, and tried to struggle out of his strong grip, but Sebastian just simply spun me around with ease so that I was now back to facing him.

"I am not yours, Sebastian. Not anymore anyway." I retaliated with poisonous, strong words.

"And, if I recall it was by your own choice why things have turned out the way they are between us." I finished, ripping myself out of his strangling like grip, and with that I rushed off before he had a chance to catch up.
