Dear Diary,

I heard that the eyes are the windows to their soul and I've always thought that was a lie. Why would your eyes show something when it's just the colour they are interested in, a colour that makes people entranced and dazed. Seeing those dark hollow eyes left me stunned but most of all they let me see all the emotions they felt.

I could see the happiness shine through, the specks of mischief flickering through and the adoration it held. It held nothing negative - only adoration and that made me stumble backwards.

Why do we judge someone before looking at their eyes, their eyes showing their true intentions - something that could show the pureness or the corruptness of the soul?

Love Sera.

A few weeks later, Seraphina had been left alone to her devices. Kayden had come to her to hang out but each time Blossom got in the way and snatched him away ( probably to go somewhere, where Kaiser would have been close by)

Kayden would call later on to apologising for not being to hang out with her, Seraphina laughed it off and enjoyed the alone time and also her phone conversations with Kayden and Sana had made her realise that all she needed was those two to survive school and have a fun time.

She had been going to work regularly and spent time with Sana later but today was a boring day at work as Sana had to attend her cousin's wedding. Seraphina left her house and went to work and did everything on time and yet time seemed to be dragging on for years.

"Huh. I guess without Sana life would be boring and tedious."

Seraphina thought as she walked home alone.

She had been zooming into the smallest of things in Paris, the streets: the little children singing their Christmas carols; charity workers knocking door to door; couples holding hands and enjoying the cold air huddling together; the chiming bells of shops; the clicking of tourists' cameras and the loud men with their alcohol in one hand and the other dancing along to the music from the pub.

"Christmas is a pleasant time for everyone, I guess," Seraphina mumbled as her steps become slower.

Her mind filled with a kaleidoscope of beautifully painful memories - that she wished she could forget and hold onto at the same time.

She hadn't stopped at the coffee shop she usually stops at, her mind in a faraway land that she wished she was, that had all the people she needed to survive expect Kayden and Sana. She fumbled with her bag straps, hoping to get herself out of her alternative universe - where she is truly happy.

She had whipped out her phone from her trench coat, ready to call Anton, her brother - she missed her family. They had all separated when Seraphina turned eighteen, only Anton staying with her as he was only sixteen. He had looked exactly like her father, long black hair to his shoulder always in a bun, bluish grey eyes and a strong and tall physique that had been identical to the father she once knew, the father she wishes was still here to look after us and watch us grow.

'Hello! You've reached the voicemail of Anton Samuels, Owner of Anton Architects. I'm currently either away from my desk or on the other line. Please leave your name, telephone number, and a short message after the beep, and I'll be sure to get ba...'

She declined the call, his phone going to voicemail.

She was proud of her brother for starting his own business at the age of 23, but she didn't know that through that her last family member she had would also leave her, in the big bad world to suffer by herself and won't give their hand to lift her out of the strong currents of the water.

The door next to her slammed open, she didn't have much time to react as someone had dragged her into the isolated alleyway next to the door that slammed.

Her eyes widened in panic, ready to scream out for help, a hand slammed in front of her lips covering any sound leaving her mouth, muffling her only form of calling for help. Her long frail fingers tried to pry the hand off her mouth but the other hand of the kidnapper had reached out to restrain both of her hands.

The streetlamps started turning on, one by one they came on and with each light turning on a part of the stranger's body parts became clearer. The final lamppost turned on, the one they were standing on and her heartbeat slowed down, the panic reaching her heart.

She didn't know if she could widen her eyes, even more, than before in hysteria - yet the kidnapper's face was able to do the, sending her heart into overdrive - her breathing slowed down from anxiety and the lack of gas exchange.

She screamed like her she was on the verge of a hideous death, Death staring straight in her eyes, asking to dance with him - but she couldn't give in even if she was scared to death. Her screams were muted by the large, rough hands that blocked her mouth and half of her nose, ready to send her into her afterlife at the mere age of twenty-five.

"Julian." She whispered, which was slightly smothered.

"Nice to see you again, Mimosa" Julian dragged out 'Mimosa' and he had a deranged look in his hazel eyes. They were on alert and full of hatred, hatred aimed at Mimosa, hatred aimed at Seraphina at the moment.

I forcefully pulled my hands out of his hands and pushed him away as far as I can. He stumbled but came back and held me back in place, "I'm not Mimosa - look closely you big knob" I retorted, anger entwined with every word I pushed out of my mouth, the frustration getting enormous by the second.

"You are Mimosa I know it, you're a fu*king bi*tch and I hate you for ruining my life along with that sl*g Gaia"

Seraphina felt like she was losing a pointless battle, Julian couldn't see anything but Mimosa and she wanted to slam his head into the wall repeatedly to hopefully put some sense into him.

He shook his head, and his eyes started to water. Tears of anger fell freely from his face and Seraphina wasn't sure if she would make it out alive now.

"You're not Mimosa, Mimosa was a kind soul and wouldn't wear anything slutty like you are. You're her good for nothing sister - Seraphina" he dragged out her name, with venom swirling around it making Seraphina recoil backwards, slamming her body into the wall.

He had been lost in his thought after he had realised that she wasn't Mimosa, so Seraphina took advantage of it and kneed him where the sun doesn't shine and ran out of the alleyway and into the spare street. Her eyes squinting in the dark, hoping to find her way home or at least away from the demon.

Her breathing quickened and she wasn't sure if she would see the daylight tomorrow.
