Dear Diary, 

Why does love ruin the most indestructible friendships that had formed between two amazing people? As soon as love is added to the mix, friends don't exist and their whole attention is on their significant other - not realising that their friendship was like family, like siblings and they choose water over blood even though blood is thicker than water. 

Mimosa was gullible and she believed every word he had told her, all the ones that sounded too good to be true. She ruined her friendship with Gaia for Julian but in the ned he had stabbed her in the back, ruining her life.

Is this what happens? Is it an endless cycle of pain that ruins friendships for relationships?

 Gaia and Mimosa had been the best of friends, Seraphina, however, didn't remember  Gaia but she knew her sister had a close friend. They were inseparable and that's the friendship Seraphina had wanted in the future. 

 We had moved from London back to Paris when Seraphina had been ten and that wasn't the end of  Gaia and Mimosa, they talked on the phone for hours, they had met each other throughout the years but their studies got in the way and slowly their status went from best friends to acquaintances and finally strangers. 

Little did Mimosa know that Juliana's family had decided to move to Paris too, for Juliana's studies and that's where everything had tuned for the inseparable pair. 

Mimosa's boyfriend had been spectacular at the start, he showered her with gifts, took her on the most romantic dates and that had been more than enough for Mimosa, her insecurities had disappeared when she was with him. Mimosa told the story of how they met everyday her voice filled with euphoria and had made the coffee shop opposite the Eiffel Tower her new worship place.

At the age of twenty five, Mimosa had lost all hope of finding the one for her as she was stuck looking after her siblings and had to focus on getting a good job as she had finished her degree - The first time she met him, her poor naive soul believed he was the one because she was scared she wouldn't find anyone else after him. Her parents had disapproved and wanted her to cut ties with him but she didn't and she decided to go and live with him, he had brainwashed her - that was her family's final thoughts on Mimosa's boyfriend. 

Gaia had been confident, outgoing and the opposite of Mimosa and that's what made them best friends, yet one thing turned that into nothing.  Gaia had found herself a boyfriend too at the small coffee shop across the Eiffel Tower, first, she had avoided him but something about him had gotten her infatuated with him. 

A year had gone by and Mimosa had found out something that was unexpected and had been happy to tell him but he had gone back to Loudres to stay with his family for a few months and that had made Maia upset but she was ready to tell him face to face about the exciting news. 

He had come back and was surprised but he accepted her and that had made Mimosa feel over the moon. 

But little did Mimosa know that her boyfriend had been cheating on her for the whole they had been together. After another seven months, Mimosa found out that Gaia was in Paris an decided to visit her and she had found her on social media and set up a time to meet in Paris. they had both chosen the coffee shop opposite the Eiffel Tower and that had been where everything went downhill. 

Gaia had been excited to meet her childhood best friend and tell her how happy she has been the past year with her boyfriend, how they had a great time in Lourdes. 

That evening was the evening their lives had been ruined, they couldn't get over the initial shock and he had taken advantage of that and took them somewhere hidden. J Gaia and Mimosa were ready to go to the police about Julian as he had been two-timing and had entered France illegally. 

He had panicked and killed them, both of them regretting their choices and Maia had uttered "You'll pay for this..." Mimosa fell unconscious before finishing her sentence.

"Julian" Gaia finished for Mimosa and had dropped to the floor, blood pouring out of her knife wound. 

That was the end of  Gaia and Mimosa, their friendship, long forgotten and two secrets that were buried with them. 

Four people had seen the event take place, but two of them were dead leaving the other two to carry the secret. 

One had been Julian but who was the other and that was what Julian wanted to find out.
