It's been a week since that day, and honestly, nothing interesting happened. My life has simply been nothing but eating, digging, building, sleeping, and repeating.

I put on a makeshift jacket that I had made over my shirt and I watch as it turns itself into a grey color as soon as it touched my body, like magic. I pull the hood over my head, so it covers my hair and hides my face, as I set out to get more sticks and rocks to build my new home. I pay close attention to my surroundings, listening to every little noise. I pick up a good bit of rocks and other things that litter the ground and stuff them into my (f/c) book bag to the point that I can barely carry them. To be honest, I did not really feel like making another trip for the rest of the day.

Out of nowhere, I hear a voice and it sounds like it's coming from deeper in the woods. It caught my attention, and since curiosity killed the cat, I followed after ducking as close to the ground as I could manage. As I got close the voice began to become more soothing and happy. I let out a content sigh and smile since the song the voice was singing was one my mom would use to sing me to sleep back in Bergen town.

Wow! A good memory for once, I shake my head slightly, trying to regain my train of thought. I look up to see that the source of this singing is a dark blue-haired, greenish blue-skinned troll. I hide behind a rock as I continue to listen and close my eyes as I listen to his voice. I do not understand why, but it seems to soothe and relax me.

After a few minutes of just sitting, I decided I had stayed long enough, and as I opened my eyes, I saw a horrifying sight, as a Bergen with a white chef hat and white uniform made their way towards the fellow troll. Without thinking, I began to run toward the tree the boy was on, but before I got there, he was pushed off the tree by an older-looking troll, and he plummeted into the flowers below. "Grandma!!!" He cries out, and I instantly feel sympathy for the boy as his apparent grandma was taken away.

I didn't know what to do, I just froze. I glanced at where the boy had landed to see him crying. I throw my hair to one side of my shoulder and begin to play with it, as I try to think of what to do. It's not like the boy was my problem, so why should I even care? Still, I know I wanted someone when I went through that... so working up my courage, I throw my hair up into its signature sloppy bun and slowly make my way to the boy, trying to think of what to say. When I went to open my mouth, I noticed his color begin to fade away, and once again I became entranced and couldn't look away. There was someone who was now like me. "Hey..." I finally managed to get out.

The boy looks over his shoulder at me and then once again glances towards the ground. " I am sorry...I didn't do anything...",

'Wait, why am I apologizing? I don't know them.'

He sighs and wipes the tears from his eyes," Whatever...who are you anyway?" he grumbles.

I pull out a candy bar and sit down next to him, nudging his arm with it."Trust me, I'm no one special," I chuckle as he glances at me weirdly"...ok nobody special..."

He then puts his sights back on where his grandma just was, and once again, his tears start to flow as I hear the pain in his sobs. I did not know what to do or say, so all I did was pat his back and let him cry. After what seemed like ages of watching the scene before me, he finally just stopped crying and took the candy bar from my hand basically devouring it. "I'm (Y/N) by the way..." I mumble and he looks at me.

"What..." he questions.

"My name, you asked who I was, my name is (Y/N)," I respond, sighing.

"Oh...I'm Branch." I smile slightly and lightly punch his shoulder.

" Well Branch, welcome to the world it's a suckish place," I say sarcastically, and he chuckles sadly.

"Guess so"
