Poppy, Branch, and I arrive at what seems to be the castle at the top of the hill in Bergen town.
"Gooood we are sooo close I can almost feel my friends hugs!!!!" Poppy practically squeals out, Branch and I glare at her.
"SHH!!!"
"R-right sorry..." poppy apologizes looking guiltily at the ground.
I sigh and Branch puts a hand on my shoulder,"Hey, we will be out of here soon ok...anything goes wrong I'll get you out of here" he says.
I smile glad he is worried about me, but that's the least of my concerns. I got something in the afterlife.
"Thanks, but worry about yourself" I respond and he nods.
I look forward to see poppy giving me a knowing smirk.
" What?" I ask.
"Ohhh nothing..." she says cheerfully then goes back to looking ahead.
"Guys a Bergen..." Branch whispers and we hide behind a little slant in a wall.
"Where do you think they would take them?" Poppy asks.
"Probably into a Bergen's stomach" Branch says and I chuckle,but poppy gives us glares.
" can you two please at least try to be little more positive.." poppy says.
"Telling me to be positive is like telling you I don't want a hug. You can say it, don't mean I'll listen." I say shrugging.
Poppy then whispers into my ear, " I think I know SOMEONE who can make you happy.." she teases and I blush slightly covering my face with my hair, as I begin to play with it.
"I think your delusional pinkie.." I say trying to hide my embarrassment from her words.
She nudges me with her shoulder and rolls her eyes, " I ain't dumb..."
"Could have fooled me..." I growl.
"Let me help, maybe..." I cut her off and give her a look, and if looks could kill she would be a bloody mess on the floor.
"Just drop it!" I whisper yell in her ear.
"You and your dad did enough damage to my life thank you" I cover my mouth, but no matter what I couldn't take those words back and she looks at me heartbroken.
"N-nothing forget it..." I say and walk out from behind the wall.
Damn I'm a bitch...
" (Y/N), what were you two whispering about?" Branch asks and I shrug.
"Girl troll things?" I say and it turns out as more of a question accidently.
"Ok?"
"Look it's them..." I say and point ahead, poppy's pouting attitude seems to perk up at the mention of it, as she rushes a little farther to get a better look at them.
"Damn...they are really alive." Branch states.
" Yea...they are the lucky ones." I say back and he puts a arm around me, then gives me a sarcastic voice,"Ohhh come on bestie!!!Where is your spirit!!!" He says.
"Bite me..." I chuckle back.
We watch the scene in front of us for a time to grab Poppy's friends.
"Of course we have enough trolls!!! If I was worried do you think I would do this!!" The troll with a chief hat says grabbing a purple troll with yellow pants out of the cage containing all the confused and scared looking trolls.
Poppy gasps and Branch has to hold her back to keep her from dropping out of our hiding spot, " Creek!!!" She cries out and we quickly duck as the chief troll looks in our direction.
Damn they are as ugly as I remember...
After a little bit of a weird comical scenario of the little Bergen king going on and off the decision to actually eat (apparently Poppys friend named Creek), and everyone going in and out of relief with it. The chief finally has enough and shoves it into the kings mouth. I couldn't look at the scene unfolding before me...
"No..." poppy whispers.
"I'm sorry poppy..." Branch says and pats her back.
I instantly regret everything I said to her earlier, my problems don't lie with her and her life seems to be going through nothing but hell right now. Even if she is little miss sunshine she didn't deserve my attitude over it. I think over what I am about to do next and I know I may regret it but... I hug her.
"I-I'm sorry poppy..." I then whisper so only she can hear.
"I-I am sorry for everything...."
Authors note: another chapter done sorry if I cut out a lot it's just...it would have taken forever to go over the creek almost getting eaten scene and we all basically know what happened so... I you have a problem with it tho I can go back and edit it to make it more detailed about the scenario.
