the school day was finally over.
luke walked to his locker, a jacket over his arms, covering his uniform. he opens up his locker, noticing a small blue envelope. he opens the envelope, a neat folded paper in it and a few flower petals were at the bottom. he carefully took the paper out, not wanting the flower petals to scatter all over the hallways.
hello. i like your bracelets, advertising the best bands in history. i like your music taste. but i can't help but notice something else; the scars. are you okay? is everything alright? please stop, you're fuckin' handsome and beautiful. i care, okay? i know you don't know me, but i care.
luke gasps silently and folds the paper back, slipping it back into the envelope. but the letter made him smile, somehow. even if he didn't believe what's written inside. how could someone have seen his scars when it's been covered with bracelets? if not, a jacket, or a sweater. he opens up his journal, sticking the envelope between a page and closes his locker.
he walks out of school, holding on tight to his journal, not wanting the envelope to slip out.
from a distance, she watches him. she smiles when he smiles, knowing the letter worked. luke folds up the letter and slips in back into the envelope. she stops hiding, finally standing up straight and walks towards luke's direction where the exit of the school was.
she walks past luke, taking in his scent, making her smile even wider. she felt good, knowing that she made luke smile; something others never thought could be done.
