Right as I asked what happened to his mom all those years ago. Percy looked at me with pain in his eyes. I couldn't tell what he was thinking. Then he went rigid collapsed. Annabeth pulled his head onto her lap and started to run her fingers through his hair. She stopped after a little while. He started to shake a little. Annabeth started to stroke his hair again. He started shaking less.

"Shh, Percy it's fine. It's fine." Annabeth whispered

I felt guilty. I was the one who caused this, and I was standing here, doing absolutely nothing. But there was apparently nothing to do. We all were just waiting there silently. The occasional whisper from Annabeth that it was going to be okay. Then I heard a gasp. I turned to the floor where Percy and Annabeth were and saw that his sea green eyes were a little puffy. He was crying. Whatever he saw must had been terrible. I felt bad for the kid.

"There's really nothing we can do?" Caitlyn asked

"I don't think so." Annabeth said still stroking his head.

He looked up at her. They stared into each other's eyes. Annabeth wiped a tear off of his cheek.

"What did you see?" Annabeth asked

"The day that I came to camp. When my mom was taken" he answered

"Okay. Here's my question." I asked, "What are you two? If you're not metas, what else is there?"

"Do you really want to know?" Annabeth asked. She sounded intense, deadly serious. Her grey eyes were a little intimidating.

"Pfft, whatever it is, we can handle it." Cisco said, "We've been hunting metas with new powers every day."

"Well then follow my example, and sit down." Percy said

I stayed standing, but Caitlyn and Cisco sat down. Annabeth took a deep breath a was about to talk, but it ended up being Percy who started the story.

"So you know about the Greek gods?" he asked

Caitlyn and Cisco nodded. I hadn't learned about them. I had no idea what they were, but I guess they were Greek.

"But those are just myths. How is that relevant?" Cisco said, "How did you make the sink explode? You're a meta-human!"

"If you let me keep talking, I will get to that part." Percy said

"Okay, okay. Touchy..."

"I will make another sink explode. Anyway, when I was twelve years old, I was attacked by my pre-algebra teacher. Mrs. Dodds. She was a monster. A Greek monster, but I shouldn't say what she was. Names have power. So, then I was expelled after my teacher Mr. Brunner gave me this pen," he held up the pen that had turned into a sword inside his cell, "and it turned into a sword. I killed Mrs. Dodds. Then I went to the beach with my mom. And then I was attacked by a thing. Again, I won't say its name, but it's a giant bull that wears bright white underwear. I won't go too much into detail, or I might black out again. So then I found out that there's a camp for people like me and Annabeth."

"Wait, and Annabeth?" I asked. I actually didn't think about Annabeth having powers since she hadn't shown any. Percy was the one I thought was a meta.

"Yeah." She said, "What, you didn't think I was special too? Are you being sexist?"

"No, I am the opposite of sexist. I just didn't think that you were a meta-human."

"Well good. I'd hope that the city's super hero's not sexist."

"I'm going to continue now." Percy said, "So I got to camp and met Annabeth. When a girl there took me to the girl's bathroom to try and give me a swirly -this part embarrasses me a bit- When my face was an inch away from the water, everything exploded and the girls were drenched."

"That was a funny day." Annabeth said laughing at her boyfriend.

"Who walked out wet?" Percy asked

"Wait, I'm confused. Annabeth was one of the girls who tried to give you a swirly?" Cisco asked

"Yeah, I'm totally dating the girl who bullied me in my youth." Percy retorted with major sarcasm, "No, Annabeth stood there to watch."

"And she didn't help you?"

"Well I was going to, but he managed to help himself." Annabeth said

"ANYWAY, back to the story. We had capture the flag and she wanted me to be on her team. Then right before Luke ran across the border, the river, I had battled the main bully girl with water. Then Luke came running. Our team won. Then I got attacked by a monster. I stepped into the water, and healed. A glowing light ended up over my head. It was a trident. It looked like this."

Percy pulled his hoody sleeve above his left forearm to reveal a tattoo. I don't think the SPQR was what he was referring to. There was a trident under it.

"Wait, you have a tattoo?" I asked, "How old are you?"

"It's more of a branding from Romans. I'm seventeen by the way."

"Wait, what does this story have to do with anything?"

"You haven't figured it out?" Annabeth said, "I thought you were the brightest scientific minds!"

"Exactly, science. Not myths. What does Greek mythology have to do with how you have powers?" Caitlyn asked, which made me jump because I nearly forgot she was there. She had been so quiet.

"The gods are real. Like, the Greek gods." Percy said, "I am Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon."

"I am Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena." Annabeth said

She sat straighter and tightened her ponytail. Percy just rolled his eyes, and put on a crooked grin. He was still had his head in her lap. I looked at the two teenagers. They seemed so happy together. They've obviously known each other for a long time.

"Ever since then, I have been on quests and almost killed by monsters every day." Percy finished.

"How can we believe your story? There's no proof of it." Caitlyn said

A thought popped into my head.

"Since only half of your blood is mortal, would a blood test say that your DNA is incomplete?" I asked

"I don't know, I never thought about it. The gods don't really have DNA. I'd like to keep thinking of it that way, or I would be dating my half cousin."

"Good, don't think at all. You're good at it." Annabeth said

"Shut up Wise Girl."

"Your brain is seaweed..."

"Is this mostly the fights you have?" Cisco asked

"No. If you would like to observe our regular fights, I would suggest that you take us to a big room."

"Why? What happens? If your fight takes up that much space, how are you still together?"

"Well, I love my Wise Girl, no matter how...annoying she gets..."

"Thanks Perce." Annabeth said

"Uh oh, she probably won't go easy on me now. You might get that blood sample." Percy said

What kind of fights do they have?
