Annabeth
I saw Percy getting holding his head in agony as he shook his head. I couldn't do anything about a headache. He shouldn't have any more ambrosia, and there was no monster to attack. I didn't know what to do. For one of the first times in my life, I didn't have an answer. Then he stopped. A dull pounding started in my head. At first, I thought it was my heart, but then it started getting more painful. My vision started getting blurry, the room was tinted red. I grabbed my head and doubled over. I started falling into a pool of darkness. What felt like a few minutes later to me, I felt a presence. I woke up in Tartarus. I was next to Percy. How did we get here? How were we back? Percy looked at me. I looked away from him, there were hordes of monsters. Then I saw a truly terrifying thing. It was Tartarus himself. I looked around. I saw why there were so many monsters. There were the Doors of Death. I realized I wasn't actually in Tartarus. I was in one of Percy's flashback blackouts. We had already cut the chains holding the doors to the ground. I then heard pounding. And saw the giant Damasen with flowers in his braids riding a drakon. I remembered this. He had given me the bone sword that I was holding. Then there was Bob the titan, sweeping away any monster that got close to us. Bob had already volunteered to fend off Hyperon and Krios from the doors and hold the elevator button for them. Percy protested, but I knew that it was the only way. The elevators opened and I pulled him inside, but there was an aurei blocking our way. I didn't remember that part. I heard a monster there yelling, "Percy Jackson, I hope that your past will haunt you for the rest of your life! Especially when you don't want it to!" Percy slashed the aurei in front of us. I was going to protest, since it would cause a curse, but it was too late. Nothing seemed to happen to him. The only thing that showed was that Percy looked upset, but he knew that it was the only way help our friends. We sadly had to leave Bob behind. The doors closed, but there were monsters trying to pry the doors open. Percy and I both pressed the doors closed. We looked at each other, struggling to keep the monsters out.
"I love you Seaweed Brain." I told him
"I love you too Wise Girl." He said back
Even though this was only a flashback, the words were coming from the present. I was in this with him. We were our current selves trapped in the past for a bit. Then it dawned on me. Percy had gotten cursed from the aurei. It just hadn't taken effect yet. Now was when it was taking place. All of these flashbacks were from that curse! We were still holding the elevator doors closed until we heard a little, ding! The doors opened and we collapsed onto the floor.
I woke up startled. Percy wasn't awake yet. He was shivering and he was holding onto me. I moved closer to him. He seemed to feel the movement and hugged me tighter. He pulled me into his warm arms. I fell right back to sleep.
Sorry this chapter was kinda short, but I will make up for it by asking a question. Whoever answers first will get a shout-out in the next chapter!!!
