Barry
I woke up the next morning and quickly got ready. I wanted to check on the teens before I went to my actual job. I don't only work as the Flash. Before I was struck by that lightning bolt, I was a CSI for the CCPD. I am quite a nerd. Or as my basically sister/girlfriend (weird I know) Iris tells me, I come from a race of adorable nerds. So, I ran to S.T.A.R. Labs and saw that the teens were up and about. I found that surprising, since Percy was so tired. Plus, if he was anything like me, which so far he seems to be, he was not an early riser unless absolutely necessary. I checked the time, it was eleven thirty! No wonder they were up! I must have automatically turned off my alarm with my super speed. Since it was so fast, my brain hadn't registered that it was on. I was late for work! Again! Captain's going to kill me. I ran to the outside of the police building and hid in the back to make sure no one had seen me speed through. Then when I thought it was safe, l walked to the front and walked in the door. It was not safe to walk through the door.
"ALLEN!" I heard Captain Singe yell.
Uh-oh. I'm in trouble.
"I'm here Captain, sorry I was late. My fish died...and I had to clean out the tank." I lied. I couldn't tell him, 'Hey I was checking on these demigods that we are keeping in S.T.A.R. Labs who know I'm the Flash.' That would be a bad idea.
"Wow, better excuse Allen. Still not good enough, but I'm impressed that you have finally stopped the constant excuse of car troubles. You know why that one is so astounding?"
"Because I don't have a car."
"Get to work I want the paperwork of the Johnson case by noon. Better get going, it's eleven thirty. I hope you're almost done."
"Yes, Captain."
I ran, not in my full speed, up the stairs and into my lab. I was already done with the report, I just needed to find it. I saw the map of Central City hanging down. I knew that underneath was a bunch of pictures and newspaper articles about my mom's death. I always knew that my dad was innocent, but I had to prove it. Anyway, that case is done. Harrison Wells was the man in yellow who killed my mom, and before he died, he recorded a video of himself confessing to killing my mom. My dad was out of prison, but one of our enemies had killed him right in front of me, so that he could prove that we were the same. I rushed around my lab searching for the case papers. Papers were flying everywhere because of the wind in my office. When I found them, I did the best I could to clean up the papers, but the wind caused more papers to fall out of place.
"I give up." I said to myself.
I heard footsteps coming up the stairs. I was assuming it was Joe, coming to check on me to see why I was late, but I looked at the door and saw that it was Iris. I smiled. She returned one.
"What are you doing here?" I asked
"Well I was stopping by to say hi to my dad and he told me that you were in trouble with the captain. Why are you late...again?" she asked me
"Well there are these two kids at the Labs I let stay there. One of them has these amazing powers."
"The fastest man alive is in awe of someone else's powers? What can he do?"
"He can control water."
"Okay that is pretty cool. A meta-human?"
"No, that's the thing. Remember all of the Greek myths?"
