OH HI THERE.
I have absolutely no idea what this garbage is, but hopefully you enjoy it.

"You still need to tell me your name, sir."
The raven-haired boy furrowed his brows in frustration, rubbing his pounding temples with his thumbs.

"For the last fucking time, it's Gerard Way- and why do I even have to do this? I've been here for the past week," he growled, shaking his head disapprovingly at the hospital receptionist.
The woman- her name tag read Sarah- glared at Gerard with a small huff, and typed frantically on the keyboard; only moments after, she pointed rigidly towards the right corridor.
"First of all, it's not like I can change the rules for you. Second of all, your brother is the third door on the left, and lastly, I strongly suggest you watch your goddamn language in a mental ward," she snapped, shoving the room key into his hand as if it were toxic.
Not bothering to respond, Gerard stormed to the room in a childish manner, closing the goddamn door behind him.

Mikey sat up sharply, not prepared for his next dosage-
"...Gerard?"

His brother was perched in the usual bleach-stained Belleville hospital bed, his wire-strewn hands attached to two metal hooks for his own safety. His nurse, a red-headed woman, sat in the corner, watching the brothers carefully, giving the older a ghost of a smile. Gerard could feel a twinge of guilt as he quietly shuffled over to a seat, trying not to startle Mikey again.

"Gerard," Mikey smiled sadly, "I just want to say, again, that I'm sorry for... y'know."
Shuffling from side to side, Gerard struggled as he thought of what to tell his brother.
"Mikes, it's not your fault, okay? I shouldn't have forced you to ask him. Just... how are you holding up?"
Gerard was still hopeful that something had changed, despite knowing exactly how his brother would react.
Mikey snorted, shaking his head with a small frown.
"You should know the answer by now, Gerard," he sighed, obviously desperate to change the subject to avoid worsening the obvious tension in the room.
"So, um, anyways...Are you ready to go to school tomorrow without me?"

Gerard bit his nails anxiously, trying to avoid thinking about why his brother wouldn't be there in the first place: After insisting that Mikey asked his crush out on a date after school, Pete Wentz had awkwardly admitted that he was already dating Patrick Stump. In the heat of the moment, Mikey had overdosed in the school bathroom, to whom Gerard fortunately found before any further liver damage could be done.

Despite this, he knew it was his own fault for forcing Mikey out of his comfort zone; only seconds before his mind could wage full-out war on his thoughts, Mikey started coughing loudly.

"Hello, earth to Gerard? Stop being such a hesitant little alien and tell me what you're thinking."

Wait, what was Gerard thinking?
Asides from fretting about the constant migraine in his head and the fact it was Sunday, he hadn't put much thought into the idea of his return to Belleville High.

He'd been off for a week to take care of Mikey, so of course catching up in Mrs. Jackson's calculus class would be a living hell (although the antics of the class clown Brendon Urie always made it worth it).

"I, um... I'm not sure," he forced out, trying to ignore the shameful blush that colored his pale skin. Mikey shook his head, tsk-ing in disappointment.
"Come on, Gerard Arthur Way! Aren't you the least bit curious about the new kid? Ray hasn't stopped messaging me about him, so don't tell me you haven't heard."
Completely ignoring the last part (Ray always spammed everyone), he frowned.
"Wait, new kid?" Gerard was puzzled, having only just heard of this for the first time. He'd thrown his phone into a fountain out of anger, so keeping up with drama was rather difficult.
Wait, Mikey didn't know that. Whoops.
He'd tell him later.

"Yeah. Frank, I think. He transferred here after getting into too many fights." Mikey explained, making sure Gerard was keeping up. "Ray told me he's the mysterious bad boy type if you're interested," he winked, turning Gerard a dark, crimson red.
The nurse, two seats from Gerard, snorted at the boy's reaction, shaking her head. At this, he groaned, very-much-so regretting his life.

Heaven, help us.

"Well, as much as I love eavesdropping on you idiots, it looks like visiting hours are up," the nurse- Hayley- sighed peacefully, standing up to walk Gerard out.
He turned to his brother, giving him a soft look.

"You better be there Wednesday, hear me, you little shit?"
Mikey snorted, nodding in agreement.

"Of course, you douche canoe. I wouldn't want to miss seeing you and the new kid making small, guyliner-wearing emo babies."

At this, Gerard left, not ready for whatever would come tomorrow.
