"Why did you say Professor Ozpin would try to stop me? What was this whole him not telling me thing about?" I ask in between bites. He hadn't said a word since sending me away to watch TV.

"He doesn't want a new Queen. After your mother's death there had been a power vacuum in Vale and Oz was all too happy to fill it. For now, he is taking your place, but if you claim your Throne and Position in the inner circle of Politicians and World leaders he will have to give it to you."

"World Leaders?"

"Being the Queen brings a lot of responsibility and power along with it. It's your duty to protect all Humans and Faunus who live in Remnant from Salem."

"And how am I supposed to do that? I'm just a kid, a huntress in training!"

"Your eyes."

"My eyes?"

"Yes. What was the first thing Oz said when you met?"

"I don't-" "Silvereyes! He noticed your silver eyes didn't he?"

"Yes." Why does he know that? With every minute things get more and more confusing. I finished my plate and stood up to get more but he took the plate and did it for me.

"Thank you... But what does my eye color have to do with how I'm supposed to protect millions of people from some inhuman thing if any of what you told me is true at all?"

"Have you heard of silver-eyed warriors?" I shake my head. "The short version is: that those born with silver eyes were meant to be warriors and could kill grim with a single look. Of course, that is only a myth. The true story is that only Rose Queens ever has silver eyes. They have... powers. Every Queen has a different set of skills and ability's, but all share the power of inhuman strength and speed, a sort of levitation but it doesn't last very long and being able to make weapons out of this power, but all only to a certain extent. Some Queens could see the future some turn into animals and one could control the weather."

"What could my mom do?"

"She could make portals to any place on Remnant, stop time for a while and shapeshift into a Woolffaunus at will."

"What can I do?"

"I don't know. You have never activated your ability so it's unknown what you will be capable of and to what extent. But I know that whatever it is you have the potential to become stronger than any other before you."

"That sounds nice and all but I'm not that Queen of yours. You're really crazy you know? Why should I believe any of this?"

I stand up and get my jacket. "I won't turn you in or tell anyone about where I was today. If your searching for a Queen maybe you should search somewhere else. Thank you for the food. You don't seem to be a bad guy, only crazy."

"Wait!" Torchwick grabs my arm. "At least take this. It belonged to your mother. If you change your mind please come back. I'll send a report every Friday. Happy birthday."

And there he left me alone in the hallway. He had handed me a bag. I open it and found an old book and a wrapped present. I decided to open it at home and walk away.

My teammates are already sleeping when I arrive. I feel guilty. I left them and stayed even when I knew that he was crazy. I should have returned but seeing him so desperate made me want to hear him out. Of course, nothing came out of the evening, but I still felt the urge to stay, to be near him. I lay down in bed, looking at the sealing. Tomorrow I won't abandon my team. I will make up to them and do whatever they want. I'll try to forget any of this ever happened but first I'll open the present he gave me. Nothing wrong with opening a birthday present. Right?
