Chapter 15

When I wake up my head hurts. I'm laying in. In a white bed in a white room. It takes me a moment to remember what happened. Roman did not hold back. My head feels like it has been cracked open. I look around. I'm alone in the room.

"Hello?!"

A nurse heard me and walks in. Her hair is up in a ponytail and she's wearing a white uniform.

"Hello Ruby. Nice to see you awake. Do you remember why you're here?"

"The last thing I remember is fighting of a Grimm."

"You got knocked out during the fight. Your fiends to, they already wakes up. If you feel strong enough we can go to them."

"How are they?"

"Your sister and miss Schnee the only hit their heads to hard. They were allowed to leave an hour ago. You didn't hurt yourself very badly so I can let you go as well, but miss Belladonna has quite a few bruises and a deep cut in her leafy thigh. She will have to stay a few more days."

"I understand." I sit up in the bed and put my shoes back on. They took of my headband and had placed it on the nightstand. I put it on and we walk over to Blake's bed, that is in the room next to mine. She looks like hell, but she's awake.

"Hi Ruby." Blake sits up slowly. "I'm glad to see you're ok."

"I'm sorry Blake. This is all my fault. I should never have split up the team."

"Don't beat yourself up about it." Blake takes my hand I to hers. She doesn't blame me.

"Have you seen Yang and Weiss yet?" I ask her.

"Yea." She looks so tired. So fragile. I hold back a tear as I hug her.

"You need to rest. You look like hell."

"I'll be fine. You gonna see Yang?"

"Of course. Knowing her she must be really worried."

We say our goodbyes and I leave. The rest of the team is waiting in our room. When I enter Yang jumps on me. Weiss looks relived. I still remember what she did. Yang releases me from her bear hug.

"Oh I was do worried about you! That was so recless of you!"

"Sorry Yang. I won't do it again." We smile at each other for a while.

"Hey Yang?"

"Yes Rubs?"

"What time is it?"

"Almost seven thirty. Why?"

"I'm late! Sorry guys I need to go!"

"Again? You just left the hospital and you're already going to Guard?" Yang sounds disappointed. Weiss just stars at the floor. She can't remember what happened. She's probably still confused how she ended up in the hospital. I give both of them a kiss on the cheek. "Sorry but I really need to go. See you later. I'll come back early today." I run out of the room to meet up with Roman.
