Is It Over? (Garnet x Fem!Reader)

Chapter 3 "Cat Got Yer Tongue?"

It's the day after you watched a sunset with Garnet, and your emotions are tied up. Still, you continue throughout your day, and finally decide to go sit on a bench. The beach is quite full, unlike the usual, and Mayor Dewey is out of town. Mr. Smiley sits in his arcade, and you, you smile at everyone passing. The time is suddenly 13:15, and you have a bus to catch, in 2 minutes. You freak out, not even near the bus station.

As soon as you get there, the bus is already far away, heading towards Ocean City. "Damn it!" you curse, and then look to the bench again, and sit down. "Great. The next one's in two days." You sigh, and suddenly feel a hand on your shoulder. It's a guy you don't know. "Kevin, and you?" He doesn't bother shaking your hand. "You seem like you need a ride- want some help?" It seems like a statement. "You like me, don't you? I can tell. Come on." He's ready to speak again, but then asks "Oh sweetie- what's the matter? Cat got yer tongue?" You feel anger rise inside you, until you boil up. A familiar voice is heard, and you turn around. "Hey! Leave her alone."

Once Kevin drives off in his yellow sports car, you laugh and hug the person. "Thanks, Steven." He smiles. Connie rushes toward you in the distance. "Ugh! I hate that guy." They both say, and you laugh together. "Who's this?" You ask, and smile. "Connie, y/n. Y/n, Connie." Steven says quickly, and they both sit on the bench next to you. "You two can fuse, right? Garnet and Amethyst were discussing you earlier." Connie smiles, and Steven blushes. "Yeah." Then you ask, "What's your name?" Connie interrupts you and excitedly says "Stevonnie."  You nod, and discuss the matter a little more, then say, "How about you two dance for me?" They nod encouragingly to each other, and after a while the two form as one, so when they appear, you smile widely. "More Connie than Steven, and more Steven than Connie." You think. "I love your hair." You say, and she blushes. "Thank you." Then they seperate, and Steven gets a call to go home. Connie and you are invited for dinner. 

You put on a lovely evening dress as you rush home, and cuddle your bird friend who visits you.

You brush your pink hair once, and rush to the Gems' home. Connie has changed as well, a red top and shorts on. "Sorry I'm a little late." You hug Amethyst, who seems to be the only gem around at the moment, and you look around. "Where are the others?" Steven mutters "Mission." With a full face of food, he looks like he could pop.

Another few familiar voices enter your ears, like music from the one. You hear a gasp, and a door opening, and turn around. The warp pad has illuminated, and two Gems stand before you.

"Hi." You mumble.
