Heartbreak we say
When were in a certain mood
But no matter the day
That word is misunderstoodHeartbreak is not when you're sad
It is when something that made you glad
Has turned the tables and made you mad
So mad, to the point that it hurts so badAnd no matter how much you try
The pain never goes away
And you want the aches to die
Yet the aches are the price you payFor loving, for doing right
So now you're sobbing with all your might
You're a mess and your tears are such a sight
But your eyes are pouring looking for some lightPeople will ask you what is wrong
You'll reply saying nothing
You'll be singing a lie and a different song
Yet the heartbreak is truly something
