Oh how I wish he'd look at me
and possibly see me for me
He won't look at my face
and examine its every trace
He won't notice my ugly complexion
or my follicle abomination
He won't flinch at my too cropped hair
Or laugh at the clothes that I wear
Instead he'll look real deep
And let everything seep
All that he can reap
If he looks down deep
And as time passes,
he'll ignore the other lasses
because I'll hit his heart
with a metal dart
He'll fall in love with my skin
He'll make me a velvet pin
and tell me my skin follicle
is not such a debacle
If he only he can look down deep
To all that he can reap
That what he'll sow
Will turn to sweet dough
If only he can look down deep
and see me for me
