I woke up to see Donnor next to a fire, rain still pouring.

"Hey G, glad your up." He says.

I smile sadly, G was what dad called me, and Midas, and Mom, and Travis. Zak was the only one who didn't. It made him special.

"Yeah, any cannons happen?" I ask.

"One, when you fell asleep." He answers.

I look down, what if it's Little Quinlenn? What if it's Zak?

I feel a hand on my shoulder, "It's ok." Donnor says. I wrap him in a hug, for my comfort and his. I felt warmth. Security. Something I couldn't describe. Suddenly I felt our faces inching towards each other and as they were an inch away

A cannon fired.

We separated in shock and looked down sheepishly. "I'll just-"

"Yeah can you-"

"Sure."

That was how we spoke. Luckily, a musical chime interrupted the awkwardness. "A sponsor gift!" Donnor says excited.

It's out in the river though, and the river is moving fast. It's caught behind a rock so it won't move but the rock won't hold it forever.

"How do we get it?" I ask.

"One of us will get hypothermia if we even try." Donnor says.

I turn to him slowly and he looks back at me. "Do you remember what I told you before I knocked you out?" I ask.

He nods shyly.

"Well What was it?" I ask him to tell me.

"You promised to keep me alive." HE says quietly.

"Well that hasn't changed." I say, I start to walk into the rain but as my arm touched the water, I was yanked back into Donnors arms.

His lips slammed into mine. I returned, not protesting the kiss. His arms wrapped around my petite waist, mine went around his neck. We broke apart and I turned away, sprinting into the rain and jumping in the river.

Freezing water hit my skin. Everything was blue. I saw fish that bowed and sun but I swam towards the parachute. My breath started to run out so I swam upward and grabbed the parachute by the current grabbed me.

I struggled in the grip and I heard donnors voice yelling something I couldn't make out. Suddenly I heard it. Powers. Of course, I had water powers!

I focused on the water molecules around me and lifted myself upwards, water cradling me in a ball. It dropped me on the side and I rang to the warmth of the cave.

I shivered and shuddered. I'm pretty sure I made scared of water now. That's right. A grandchild's of Poseidon with hydrophobia. DOnnor rushed to my side and looked worried. "You have hypothermia. Your sick. You might die! Why would you do that G?!" He exclaims.

I look down at the parachute and open it. I find a picture...a picture of Quinlenn with an X over it.

A picture of every dead tribute with a huge X. Theirs Phoebe, that new. But I burst out bawling.

"Quinnlenns dead." I whisper.

I read the note, 'payback? Meet me in the woods at night where you found Donnor. -Z'

I clasped my hand over my mouth, shivering in shock and freezing. "We need to go now."

We started hiking in the rain, not helping with my hypothermia. As night began to fall, we reached the woods and looked in the sky.

I saw Quinnlens sweet face- Coco skin and long brown hair. Her brown eyes were full of fear in the photo, then the next photo shown - Phoebe, an evil hunter.

I arrived at the clearing and saw no one. Then I saw a knife heading towards Donnor. "Donnor move!" He hit the deck and the knife hit a tree. I turned and saw Missy. Dark brown hair and blood red eyes looking to kill.

"Careers. Climb!" I called. Donnor started climbing the tree and I knew I couldn't do much with hypothermia but I did what I could. I threw a knife but it didn't get much spin so She dodged easily.

Icarus appeared with his sword and starting charging. I rolled away and caught a glimpse of Donnor about 50 feet in the air. I slid to the other side of the tree and started my climb.

I heard the knife coming and jumped on a branch next to me.

I turned to where I was standing and saw a knife that would have impaled my head. I grabbed the knife and used it to climb quicker till I reached Donnor. Icarus and Missy ran the other way for some reason and then suddenly I saw the fire.

A wall of fire was approaching me and donnors tree.

"We have to jump." I say.

"Are you kidding G! We could die!" He exclaimed.

"But we could live." I tell him. I turn to the other side of the branch and bend my knees, "don't do it G." He pleads.

I shrug him off and then suddenly I'm falling through the air.

I feel like a bird, falling from a nest, and learning to fly. Freedom so close yet so far. I could see the leaves pass me by. I felt the branches cut my face. I felt the blood stream down my cheeks. I looked down and saw the ground approaching.

I'm gonna die. I'm gonna die. I'm gonna die. My mind yelled at my body for jumping and an external fight broke out. It silenced when arms wrapped around me. I looked up and saw Donnor, falling with me.

The grounds approaching.

25 feet. 20 feet. 15 feet.

Suddenly the force stops, I see Donnor holding a branch. He lets us fall from 15 feet and I land on my feet but Donnor hits his back. I rush him up and we sprinted away from the crackle of flames. "Don't die on my watch Donnor!" I yell as we run.

"No promises!" He replies, pulling ahead of me.

I laugh a bit and start running as well when suddenly I see a metal tip through Donnors chest. He falls backward and tia stand tall, he arm still outstretched. She turns to run but I shout an arrow straight through her neck. A cannon fired.

I turned to Donnor, a spear in his chest. Tears stained my cheeks as I cried openly. "Don't die yet! Don't die Donnor you idiot! You should've let me take the spear!" I held his chest closely.

"Win." He whispers.

"No! NO! DONT YOU DARE DIE!" I scream. "I'll kill you if you die!" I tell him.

He brushes hair out of my face and chuckles a bit. "I'm already dead. No one can save me now, not even the bravest, baddest, most lovable girl in the world." He tells me.

I plant a soft kiss on his forehead before he starts coughing. "No. No." I whisper. "You need to go home! See Alphie and your mom again! You need to live!" I cry.

"No G. You need to live." He whispers. His eyes close permanently afterwards.

I burst out sobbing for at least two hours before the sun comes out and I start walking aimlessly.

Donnors dead. It hit me like a bullet. I look to the nearest camera I can find and look right in it. "I'm sorry Alphie."
