"hey dad..."
"Come in, come in" he said opening it wider for us to come in. I saw his eyes widen when he sees ryn and i knew we shouldn't have come he is just going to yell at me like my stepdad. My dad motions us to the couch and ryn goes to sit on jack's lap.
"So you guys want a pop?" he asked as we shook our head but Ryn yelled yes. My dad laughed a little before he went to the fridge and got a ryn a pop. my dad came back and sat down on the chair in living room.
"Do you live here alone?" i asked not thinking about what i was saying.
"Oh, um ya" my dad said and then he looked down at my hand that was intertwined with jacks hand"
"So, what have you been up to, what have i missed?" he asked while gesturing to ryn.
"Well umm this is jack" i said and jack stood up to shake my dad's hand.
"And this is kameryn... um... our daughter" i said while playing with Ryn's hair.
"Hey Kameryn" he said and for once it looked like he actually liked a kid other than me and my sister.
"So how long have you two been..."he trailed off while pointing between me and jack. I was afraid he was going to ask this and we would have to explain. Jack squeezed my hand to reassure me that i was ok and i smiled slightly.
"It's kinda a long story" jack said.
"Hey, aren't you a singer, i saw you you on TV" my dad said to jack.
"Ya i am" jack said
"Anyways, umm it kinda started in senior year of highschool but then i was an idiot and walked out on him when i was 20 and then i had Kameryn and then we got back together in september" i said all i one breath.
"So if you're 26 that means you guys have been uh...ya for almost 10 years?" he asked.
"Yes?" i said but it came out as more of a question.
"So are you my grandpa?" Ryn asks lightening the mood.
"Yes i am" my dad said to her.
"Hi my name is Kameryn but you can call me Ryn when i'm not in trouble" she said while shaking his hand. My dad looked up at us with a surprised look but me and jack were trying not to laugh.
"She is very enthusiastic" he says smiling
"She really is" I say smiling back. We talk for a while and he wasn't mad at me at all unlike some people.
"Well we have to get going" I say looking at my phone seeing that it's 9 and Ryn has school tomorrow.
"I'll catch up to you guys" Jack says handing me the keys
-Jacks POV-
I've never been more scared then I am right now.
"I know you just met me today and I know you really have no reason to trust me because of the time that me and y/n spent apart. I know I should have went after her and I've never loved anyone like I love her. She really does make me happier and I do everything I can to make her happy and kameryn happy. If I knew about kameryn I wouldn't have let her go. I would have been there for her and I should have been there for both of them really.-"
"Jack" I looked up at him and caught my breath
"You can marry her. Y/n is a smart girl and if she chose to go back to you after 6 years then that was the right decision. So you have my permission to marry her"
"Will do" I say grinning and trying not to jump up and down. I get up and shake his hand before I go meet up with y/n and Ryn in the car.
"What were you guys talking about?" She asks me
"Nothing" I say quickly before backing out of the parking lot.
