After everyone left we were both exhausted and told everyone to stay somewhere else because we had to clean. Me and jack sat in the kitchen on the barstools while eating some chips.
"So we are picking Ryn up tomorrow morning. Then we have to go get a new bed." I say
"Ya, I cannot believe I've slept on that bed, it doesn't even make sense because this house has like 5 guest rooms." He says.
"Well all the guest rooms are on the opposite side of this mansion" I reason.
"It's not a mansion" he says.
"I get lost in my own house"
"Whatever let's go to bed" he says and I get up behind him. We end up sleeping on the couch.
In the morning, me and jack went over to pick up Ryn from my mom's house. When we got there Ryn and my mom and stepdad were outside on the porch and Ryn was trying to hula hoop we walked out of the car and joined them on the porch. After a little while of talking we got into the car and went back home. When we were back at the house, Ryn helped me and Jack clean up from the party and when we were done I sat down on the couch. Ryn came up and sat in my lap while I talked to jack who was in the kitchen.
"Mommy can I try on your ring" Ryn asked while playing with my hand.
"No" I replied before bringing my attention back to jack only to see him with his attention on Ryn.
"Why not Mommy"
"Because it's getting small and if I take it off I won't be able to get it back on" I explained. "Do you wanna go get ready to go shopping" jack told Ryn so Ryn got up and ran to her room.
Jack sat down next to me on the couch and I turned to him while swing my legs over his. My ring is very important to me because I had saved up for it my whole life.
"Don't tell her but I wouldn't have let her try it on anyways" I told jack before laying my head on his shoulder.
"I know" jack chuckled.
"We can go get it resized today if you want" jack suggested.
We got ready and headed out to go shopping. The first place we went was to get the new bed and we picked out a huge king size mattress and new bedding. Then we went to the grocery store to get food because everyone ate all of ours. Lastly we went to the jeweler.
When we got inside Ryn started looking at the rings through the glass.
"Hey, we would like to make ring adjustments" Jack said when we got there.
"Ok which ring" he asked and I held up my hand. I really don't like talking to people at stores.
After some measuring Ryn asked to go get ice cream from the truck across the street so I went to take her while jack stayed to pay.
-Jacks pov-
I asked Ryn to get her to go get ice cream so I could talk to the jeweler.
"Can I add to this order"
"Surprising someone?"
"Ya, I wanna add a bigger diamond in the middle to make it an engagement ring"
He went over sizes with me and then I had more request.
"Can you engrave the words 'forever and always' on the inside" I asked
"Yes, this ring won't be ready for 2 weeks though"
"Ok great" we finished up and I walked outside to join them eating ice cream.
