Grace groaned out loudly.
How in the hell did she know they were here?
She cursed herself inwardly for not hiding the jeep, but she had no idea Lucy was visiting or that she'd even venture all the way out to the lake to find them.
Or Harry rather.
"I said," she yelled out again, "top of the morning to you!"
"Jesus Lucy, he's not Irish you dimwit!" Grace rolled her eyes as she replied.
"Yes, but he's across that way," she waved vaguely, "across the pond, like a frog in a pond!"
"He's not standing in jelly, oh my god..." Grace whispered the last part to herself.
"But I could be," Harry whispered causing them to both snicker.
"Did you want something Lucy?" Grace called up to her.
"Oh...yes...I left something here last night," Lucy replied.
"Yeah, your dignity," Grace murmured.
Harry again giggled but then stopped as he felt guilty for doing so.
"Sorry I know she's your family," he said quietly.
"Just because someone's your family, doesn't mean you automatically like them," Grace sighed, "look I feel for her sometimes, I really do," she paused, "but then she opens her mouth and then I don't. Bit like David Beckham," she went on, "he's lovely to look at but then he starts talking..."
Harry snorted in response.
Lucy started to clumsily make her way down to where Grace and Harry sat, letting out squeaky noises as she tried to keep her balance.
"Did you get what you wanted?" Grace asked, knowing full well Lucy left nothing behind last night.
"Not yet," she murmured as her greedy eyes roamed over Harry's shirtless body.
"Sorry?" Grace replied.
"I mean, uh, not yet, I'll um, pick it up on my way back..." she stammered before regaining her composure and sitting herself down between Grace and Harry, "so what are we doing?"
"Swimming...eating...talking..." Grace replied flatly, "until you came along."
"Now, now Gracie darling," Lucy glared at her before turning her attention to Harry, "don't you look good enough to eat," she said, licking her lips.
Harry did the only thing he could think of given the current situation.
"Brownie?" he thrust the container out to Lucy, hoping that would satisfy her apparent hunger.
"God no!" she looked offended, "do you have any idea how much fat is in those?" she looked pointedly over her shoulder at Grace, "some of us should steer clear of those you know..."
Grace looked down at the half-eaten brownie in her hand and then down at her body.
Normally she didn't really care about how she looked, she was healthy and that was good enough for her.
Still didn't mean it wasn't a little bit difficult to keep that same confidence when she was sitting next to a bean pole and a Greek god.
Harry frowned at Lucy's unnecessary comment before he stood up and walked around a confused Lucy, only to settle himself back down on Grace's other side, the container of brownies in his hand.
"You need to help me finish these off don't forget," he nudged Grace with his elbow, earning a small smile in return.
"So...Harry?" Lucy cleared he throat, her eyes angry as she turned and looked at the two of them, "given anymore thought about my question from last night?"
