Chapter 11 - I hate fakers sequel

"We are landing baby girl" Tyler whispers into my ear trying to wake me from my peaceful sleep. I groan and try to roll away, but the chair limits my movements.

"Baby girl" Tyler whispers again as I swat my hands in the direction of his voice.

A smile creeps across my face when I hear him grunt from my hand hitting his face. Ok, I think I will get up now. I slowly stretch while opening my eyes, and just as Tyler said we are landing.

As soon as we land, I shake my legs to try and get movement back in them after a long flight, and then we disembark.

I slept for most of the flight, and yet Im still tired. My mother and Hillary lead the way, as we follow behind with Tyler placing one hand on the small of my back, and the other on Courtney's. As we walk through the airport, I lean up against Tyler, and think about Jayden. I wish he were here.

We get into a shuttle that escorts us to our hotel, and I notice that it is a very posh hotel.

"Jayden insisted" my mother explains as I shake my head.

"This isn't really necessary. Its too much. Cant we just find a hotel closer to Tyler and Courtney's place?" I ask my mother as I stubbornly stand on the sidewalk refusing to move.

"This place has very good security" my mother replies, as if this is explanation enough.

"Why does that matter?" I ask my mother, and she is about to reply but Tyler cuts her off and says "He just wanted you to be comfortable. Please don't argue baby girl. Its getting late anyway."

"Fine" I mumble as I follow in obediently and we enter the lobby.

Tyler checks in for us, while I find a nice comfy chair to sit down on. Courtney joins me and whispers "Somethings up"

"Huh?" I ask curiously. What is she talking about? I look over at the concierge desk thinking that perhaps there is a problem with the room booking or something, but Tyler looks fine.

"There is something he isn't telling me. I can feel it" Courtney whispers as Kylie comes to sit next to us.

I know exactly what she means. I feel that everyone seems to be in on some big secret, and only Im left out. Its obvious that Courtney has been left out of the loop too.

"What are you guys talking about?" Kylie asks while we watch Tyler, my mother and Hillary talk to the concierge.

"Tyler and Jayden are hiding something from us" I reply and search Kylie's expression for a hint that she knows something too.

"You guys are overreacting" Kylie mutters as she laughs shakily. Kylie may have Courtney fooled, but she has been my best friend for practically my entire life. I know when she is lying. And now, is one of those times. But the real question is: Why?

I give her my 'I don't believe you' look, and she adds "Honestly, it is probably just the baby hormones getting you guys hyper-sensitive"

I narrow my eyes at her and Im about to interrogate her further, but my brother comes up to us and announces "Let's go"

Tyler leads the way, and the bellhop takes our luggage up to our rooms.

Kylie and Hillary have their own suite, and me and my mother have another. We drop Kylie and Hillary off at their suite, and say our goodnights before Tyler leads us down the hallway to the next suite.

Tyler leads us into the suite that has several doors leading off the sitting area. I look around admiringly and trace my fingers over the embossed wallpaper, as I walk through the entryway.
